Résolu :Installation surface pro 3 - impossible de booter sur clef usb
Bonjour à tous,
Pour accéder à mon école de code, je dois installer Ubuntu sur mon PC.
Je pensais réussir sans soucis mais apparemment sur une surface pro 3, c'est assez difficile.
J'ai créé une clef USB live avec unetbootin avec la dernière image Ubuntu en UEFI (ma partition windows est en UEFI) : 18.04[...]amd64.iso
Changer tout ce qu'il fallait changer sur la sorte de bios de ma surface :
Trusted Platform Module est Disabled
Secure Boot Control est Disabled.
Le Boot Order est USB -> SSD.
Et pourtant, à chaque redémarrage, je me retrouve sur Windows..
Une idée ?

Aurais-tu oublié que windows 10 ne s'arrête plus mais se met en veille même si tu clic sur le bouton arrêter ? De tête c'est dans le gestionnaire d'énergie il faut que tu trouves et désactive le démarrage rapide de windows...

Bonjour,
Tu peux faire comme indiqué dans la partie "Redémarrer en mode EFI avec Windows " du tuto "Libre à Quimperlé". Je te recommande la "Méthode rapide" (appui sur la touche "Maj" du clavier + choix "Redémarrer" puis relâcher la touche "Maj" )

De tête c'est dans le gestionnaire d'énergie il faut que tu trouves et désactive le démarrage rapide de windows...
Dixit ce tutoriel pour le réactiver... Mais bon on parle de case à cocher/décocher donc voilà...
La méthodo de malbo n'est pas mauvaise mais si je ne me trompe pas n'est valable qu'une seule fois et de plus elle ne t'ouvrira pas l'accès aux partitions NTFS que windows aura mis en veille lorsque tu l'arrêtera normalement comme c'est le cas actuellement...

@Qid : oui, ce que je propose dans le post #3, c'est pour que spoi parvienne à démarrer sur sa liveUSB puisqu'il n'y parvient pas. Ce n'est pas du tout une méthode à utiliser couramment, c'est seulement pour l'utilisation de la LiveUSB.

Hello à tous,
Donc j'ai essayé les deux méthodes et ça ne fonctionne pas...
J'ai désactiver le démarrage rapide et redémarrer avec le bouton power et avec l'option redémarrer : Aucun effet.
J'ai essayé le tutoriel (méthode rapide et normale) : Idem.
Je comprends pas à quel moment ça ne veut pas rebooter sur la clef. J'ai essayé sur deux clefs différentes mais la même image iso. Devrai-je essayer avec une autre version d'ubuntu ?

Oui, c'est probablement ta LiveUSB qui est nase, c'est à dire soit la clé USB elle-même qui est nase(*) ou bien elle a été mal réalisée. Le plus efficace, c'est de prendre une autre clé USB et de tout recommencer.
(*) les gens disent : ma clé USB, elle est bonne puisque j'arrive à stocker des données dedans. Oui mais là ça ne suffit pas : il faut qu'elle soit bootable.

Voici ce que vous pouvez essayer de faire pour tenter de revenir à la version windows 8.1:
1- Soyez sûr que la tablette est éteinte et branchée su secteur.
2- Insérez votre clé de recuperation sur le port USB
3- Appuyez sur le bouton - du volume et le bouton power de la Surface en meme temps pour démarrer la tablette avec la clé. Laissez vos doigts appuyés sur les boutons jusqu'à avoir le mot Surface.
4- Lorsque le mot Surface apparait retirez le doigt du volume - et du bouton power.

Cette procédure est destinée à démarrer sur une clé de récupération de Windows mais il est possible que cette manipulation (avec le bouton - du volume et le bouton power) puisse convenir pour démarrer sur une LiveUSB de Ubuntu.

Vu la tournure des phrases pour moi c'est même certain : c'est l'accès rapide au démarrage USB quelque-soit ce qui y est présent...

J'ai refait une clef sous ubuntu 15, fait la technique du volume bas et tout fonctionne ! (ou presque).

C'est quoi Ubuntu 15 ? Vivid Vervet (15.04) ou Wily Werewolf (15.10) - Ces deux versions sont obsolètes.
PC fixe sous Bionic 64 bits et portable avec Focal 64 bits

J'ai fait l'installation oui !
J'ai installé 17.10 pardon.. puis mise à jour !
Tout fonctionne à part le click hauche et droit sur mon trackpad

Pour donner un exemple d'install réussie à l'intention de possesseurs d'un Surface Pro 3 qui voudraient se lancer là-dedans, je te prie de faire un Boot-Info depuis une session de ton Ubuntu installé et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse.

Tu démarres sur un noyau que je ne connais pas. Peux-tu expliquer comment tu as procédé pour en arriver là ? Tu as écrit dans le post #13 : "J'ai installé 17.10". Peux-tu déjà donner des détails là-dessus ? Si tu as suivi un tuto pour cette phase "J'ai installé 17.10", merci de donner le lien.

Pour le kernel je peux répondre étant donné que je suis à peu de chose prêt dessus aussi : perso je joue avec ukuu... Et j'aurais bien répondu que lui a dû faire une faute de frappe en nous disant quelle version il a mis mais je viens de réaliser que ça colle moyen : il ne peut quand-même pas avoir pris la 19.10 par inadvertance

Vous me parlez un peu chinois.
J'ai donc installé la distrib 17.10 (ubuntu) puis fait une mise à jour.
Ensuite, pour mon trackpad, j'ai suivi ce tuto : https://github.com/jakeday/linux-surface mais ça n'a pas fonctionné.
Et voilà, j'en suis là.

Je ne comprends toujours pas pourquoi d'autant que la 17.10 n'est plus maintenue pour autant que j'en sache... En tous cas j'ai fini par regardé ce que tu as suivi et perso même si c'est assez explicite ça ne me donne pas envie de prendre le risque de tester si il m'en passe une un jour entre les mains

On voit la présence d'un noyau 4.13.0-16 dans le Boot-Info du post #16. D'après le Boot-Info de ce vieux post qui date de l'époque où on commençait à installer 17.10, je constate qu'il s'agit bien du noyau qui vient avec la version 17.10
On voit également un noyau 4.15.0-54 dans le Boot-Info du post #16. Il s'agit du noyau le plus récent de la version 18.04 sans HWE stack. Arrivé à ce point, j'en conclus que tu as fait une "mise à niveau" de 17.10 vers 18.04 (et non pas une "mise à jour" comme tu l'as écrit)
Donc j'ai maintenant la réponse à une partie de mes questions du post #16 - c'est à dire le début de l'aventure avec 17.10 et le passage à 18.04 - mais je ne sais toujours pas comment tu es arrivé à démarrer à présent sur le noyau 5.1.15-surface-linux-surface. Pourtant, xubu1957 semble avoir compris quelque chose (puisqu'il donne des liens) mais ce n'est pas mon cas. Je crois que je vais laisser tomber là.
