Xubuntu sur Asus récent

Bien le bonsoir,

Je souhaiterais installer Xubuntu 20.04 en dual-boot sur mon ordinateur tout neuf, pas fini d'payer, mais ça ne marche point !
En gros quand je suis bloqué juste avant l'installation à proprement parlé.

Où j'en suis :
- Secure Boot désactivé, Démarrage rapide désactivé ;
- De l'espace disque non alloué ;
- Une clé USB d'installation en GPT, à partir d'un iso dont l'intégrité à été vérifée ;
- Je démarre depuis la clé -> Install Xubuntu -> Je vais jusqu'à la configuration du clavier -> Le curseur indique un chargement indéfiniment, et plus rien ne bouge.
- J'ai tenté un Try Xubuntu, ça ne fonctionne pas ;
- Avec un Try Xubuntu (safe graphics), j'ai réussi à ouvrir une session (qui a planté après quelques minutes).

J'ai tout de même eu le temps de faire un boot-info : paste.ubuntu.com/p/tsbNpgy2HN

Je n'ai pas essayé de faire un Install Xunbutu (safe graphics), parce que sorti des tutos bien expliqués je suis fort inquiet par toute manipulation hasardeuse que je pourrais effectuer ! roll

Bonjour,

Pour l'instant essaie de lancer "Try Ubuntu". De la sorte tu ne feras pas de manipulation hasardeuse.

Lorsque tu bootes sur ta clé, au moment où il te propose d'essayer Xubuntu, appuie sur la touche e puis déplace toi dans le texte pour supprimer quiet splash (rien de plus) Tu valides par F10 (qui va lancer le boot)

Cette manip fera apparaître les infos de boot à l'écran. Elle est temporaire (si tu rebootes, il faut recommencer)

Tu regardes ensuite les dernières informations qui apparaissent à l'écran lors boot.

Quel est le modèle exact de ton PC?

Ah oui merci @Xubu, j'aurais dû le coller plutôt que laisser le lien.

Mon modèle exact Asus A17-TUF766II-H7143T

@NicoApi, j'ai fais ce que tu m'a dit, ça va un peu vite pour moi, et je ne sais pas comment remonter dans les lignes pour trouver les bonnes infos.
Le seul mot en rouge ayant capté mon attention : Failed to start Light Display Manager [FAILED]

Probablement une difficulté liée à la carte graphique. J'ai vu que c'est une architecture AMD avec carte nVidia. Je ne me suis jamais senti à l'aise sur ce type d'architecture... Essaie peut-être de booter avec l'option nomodeset

@NicoApi73 ; pour info, l’option de menu « safe graphics » d’un live intègre le nomodeset :

Du coup j'essaye d'installer en safe graphics ou il vaut mieux faire des manip' et installer en normal ?

J'ai installé en safe graphics.
Malgré que je n'aie pas encore configuré l'UEFI pour passer le GRUB en première position d'ordre au démarrage, (edit : il semble l'avoir fait tout seul en fait) il m'affiche les 4 options suivantes :
- *Ubuntu
- Options avancées pour Ubuntu
- Windows Boot Manager (sur /dev/nvme0n1p1)
- UEFI Firmware Settings

Je suppose qu'il me propose Ubuntu alors que j'ai installé Xubuntu car j'ai installé en safe graphics ?

Au démarrage avec la première option *Ubuntu
= écran noir avec inscrit :

Choisis « Options avancées pour Ubuntu » puis choisis la ligne où il est écrit « recovery ». Choisis enfin « reprendre le démarrage normal ».

Là, dans le menu des applications recherche et lance « Pilotes additionnels », sélectionne le pilotes graphique testé, recommandé et clique sur « Appliquer les changements ».

Une fois l’installation terminée, ferme la fenêtre « pilotes additionnels » et redémarre normalement.

Ça c’est embêtant. Je t’indiquais la méthode graphique pour que tu n’aies pas à mettre les mains dans le cambouis mais là il va falloir que tu t’y colles un peu.


Donc, ouvre un terminal et donne nous les retours de :

sudo lshw -sanitize -c display
ubuntu-drivers devices

Bien, après mais recherches, j’ai deux nouvelles : une mauvaise et une mauvaise. hmm

D’abord, je n’ai pas trouvé de pilote pour la carte Nvidia. Je n’ai pas trouvé sa date de sortie mais j’ai vue que cette page de description est très récente :

Ensuite, n’ayant pas de pilote Nvidia, le système démarre sur le chipset graphique du processeur. Mais (et c’est là l’autre mauvaise nouvelle) le tien date du 01/06/2020 comme on peut le voir sur cette page.

En conclusion, ton matériel est vraiment ultra récent et n’est pas bien supporté par le noyau de la version 20.04 d’Ubuntu.
Ce que je te propose, c’est de pérenniser l’option nomodeset (on va d’abord essayer avec radeon.modeset=0) en attendant la sortie de la version 20.04.2 d’Ubuntu (pour voir si les choses se seront améliorées d’ici là).

Donc, donne le retour de :

sudo sed -i 's/splash/splash radeon.modeset=0/' /etc/default/grub && sudo update-grub

 

Puis redémarre et dis si ça se passe bien ou mal.

Bon après j'imagine que c'est du matos assez courant, donc que les pilotes devraient sortir à un moment donné, non ?
Si c'est bien le cas, la solution que tu me proposes me convient bien !

J’y ai pensé mais il est probable que c’est nouveau qui fasse la tronche en fait.
Donc allons-y carrément avec nomodeset.
