Partage d'imprimante entre Linux et Windows

Bonjour

Une petite question un peu bête, pour changer
J'ai une imprimante HP laserjet 1000 series, qui n'est (évidemment ) pas reconnue sous Windows 7.
Je voudrais tenter de l'installer sur une autre bécane, sous linux, et réussir à imprimer depuis windows, via le réseau local.

A votre avis, est ce possible sans devenir fou, et sans avoir les pilotes windows de l'imprimante ?

Bonjour,

C'est possible bien sûr, mais il faudra quand même installer le pilote de ton imprimante sous Windows pour pouvoir faire ce partage.
Récupére le pilote pour Win sur le site de HP

Bonjour Michel.

Merci pour le renseignement. :-)  Donc, c'est mort, HP ne fournit pas pas pilote pour windows 7 pour ce modèle d'imprimante.
tant pis, j'aurais essayé

Lu ça sur Tomshardware :

I just found an easy fix from a guy on line with a blog. He's at curtiscarmichael.com

He laid it out and it worked perfectly.

Basically what you do is go to HP's website and download the drivers for Windows XP.
You'll want to download "HP LaserJet 1000 Printing Software Solution".

After the download completes: Find the files that you just extracted (c:/lj1488/) and right click on the setup.exe file.
Select: Properties
Click on: Compatibility
Check the box: "Run this program in compatibility mode for" check box.
Select: Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
Click: OK and run that file.
You may get a few error box windows and you may have to click on the "Skip" button when asked to Power up your printer or connect the USB cord.
Just keep going past these error boxes.

It worked like a champ for me and I'm a bit of a dolt!

Si l'imprimante est sur ubuntu est-ce vraiment nécessaire d'avoir le pilote sur Windows ?
