[Résolu] xorg.conf xubuntu 18.04

Bonjour,

je me suis fais y a quelques années un éditeur de xorg.conf en php. Le but est que si je sélectionne une résolution non gérée nativement par le pilote intel, que le modeline soit automatiquement intégré, et de pouvoir gérer des dispositions d'écran plus ou moins originales.

Sur la 18.04 que j'utilise, le fichier xorg ne semble pas interprété. Pourtant voici ce que j'obtiens via la commande xrandr

Cette dernière ligne est très étonnante... J'ai mis le pilote vesa à la place de intel pour tester, le log est différent mais le résultat est le même, on reste en FullHD.

En fait je saurai faire une commande xrandr qui fasse ce que je veux, mais l'idée était de ne pas refaire, si possible, un outil qui fonctionnait depuis longtemps, et que les équipes maitrisent.
Si ça n'est pas possible je le transformerai en générateur de script qui utiliserait xrandr au démarrage, mais quelque chose m'étonne : le "+" sur la ligne 1920*1080 suppose qu'un logiciel a transmis la volonté d'avoir cette résolution là ?

Si jamais on coche une résolution dans affichage et qu'on valide, et qu'il existe également un fichier xorg, est-il possible que dans la 18.04 le xorg soit interprété, puis ce qui a été validé dans affichage ?

tu appelles "Monitor-HDMI3" en premier, alors que tu n'as que "HDMI3" de défini, essaies sans. Puis sans xinerama.

Ton fichier log fait apparaître que xorg.conf est utilisé :

Essaies aussi avec un fichier monitor.xml. Le fichier est dans home > ton nom > .config > monitors.xml

Selon que tu sois U, X, L et selon la version, ces fichiers sont ou non utilisés.

La ligne "xinerama" "on" était là pour la gestion des multi-écrans depuis la 10.10 il me semble, je vais regarder ce qu'il se passe si je désactive.

Merci Pascal je n'aurai pas trouvé sans l'indication du .config.
Je suppose que l'application "affichage" génère le displays.xml, et que le xml est chargé après le xorg, et prends donc le dessus.
Le fichier xorg.conf est donc bien compatible dans la 18.04 mais il ne serait qu'à activer/désactiver les sorties, la résolution retenue était celle du displays.xml

C'est particulier d'un package à un autre.

Concernant le fichier xorg.conf, c'est un processus déclaratif interne au fichier. Tu appelles "Monitor-HDMI3" qui n'est déclaré nulle part dans ton fichier xorg.conf.
