Ubuntu 18.04 dualboot
Bonjour,
je voudrais réinstaller linux et Ubuntu 18.04 me parait bien pour moi, mais je dois garder windows à cause de mes études demandant certains logiciels non dispo sous linux...
Le problème est que j'ai deux disque dur, le premier (:C) de 126 gb contient windows et un second (:D) de un tera avec mes docs et logiciels. Je n'ai plus assez d'espace sur le disque (:C) pour y installer ubuntu et je ne peux formater entièrement le disque D a cause de mes logiciels windows... La question est: puis-je partitionner le disque D, pour y installer ubuntu tout en gardant une deuxieme partition (utilisable sous windows) tandis que mon système windows est installé sur le disque C ?

Bonjour,
C'est pas très clair pour moi. Je te prie de faire un Boot-Info depuis une session live (*) de Ubuntu 18.04 et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse. Et si tu peux préciser de quelle version de Windows il s'agit (Win7, Win8, Win10), ce serait utile.
(*) session live = ordi démarré sur le support Live (LiveUSB ou LiveDVD) de Ubuntu 18.04, choix "Essayer Ubuntu" ("Try Ubuntu" si c'est en anglais)

Selon ton schéma, tu pourras sous windows réduire la partition D pour obtenir de l'espace non-alloué dans lequel s'intallera buntu.
Reste qu'un boot-info nous aidera pour te guider sur la meilleur méthode d'installe.

Dans le boot-info, on voit que le disque SDA est un SSD

Au risque de te contredire, il faut aussi que tu installes ubuntu dans le SSD. Sinon dans quelques jours tu ouvriras une discussion disant que ubuntu est dix fois plus lent que windows. Je pense que cela est possible de l'y installer.

Comme tu dis que tes logiciels sont sur le gros disque, je suis vraiment surpris que le C: ait une taille utilisée de 73 Go
Peut-être que tes répertoires de données personnelles (librairies sous windows) n'ont pas été déplacées dans le gros disque. Si s'est le cas, il faut le faire maintenant.
Quoiqu'il y en soit, il te reste 46 Go de disponible sur le C: Cela me semble suffisant.
Avec le gestionnaire d'espace disque de windows, réduis la taille du C: d'environ 20 Go. Cela devrait suffire.
Si le logiciel râle pour libérer cet espace, pense à supprimer la fonctionnalité d'hibernation et le vieux répertoire windows.old
Sinon tu choisis de rétrécir la partition SDB1 (le D:) d'environ 30 Go.
Puis tu installeras ubuntu à côté de windows en automatique.
Lorsque l'installation sera faite, il faudra que tu fasses pointer les répertoires de tes données personnelles de ubuntu dans le répertoire de tes données windows.

Effectivement mon disque :C est assez remplit ... pourtant mes logiciels sont installés sur le et mes librairies ont été transféré depuis longtemps, c'est assez étrange.
Malgré cela, si j'installe ubuntu sur le disque :C est il possible de changer le répertoire d'installation général pour que chaque téléchargement ou logiciel installé aille sur le disque , pour éviter un encombrement de ma partition :C ?

Bien entendu, tous les téléchargements font partie des données personnelles qui iront automatiquement sur le disque dur.
Pour les logiciels, ils vont dans l'ensemble sur la partition racine, Cependant, il y a le répertoire /var qui peut être expédié sur le disque dur. Mais cela sous-entend alors une installation avec la méthode "autre chose" afin d'imposer la partition. Cela est assez standard pour les petits SSD de 32 Go. Dans un tel contexte, libérer 15 Go sur le disque C: ainsi que 10 Go sur le disque D: est certainement un bon début.

Pour faire maigrir ton Windows 10, il ne faut pas hésiter à cliquer sur "Nettoyer les fichiers système" lorsque tu utilises le nettoyage proposé par Windows 10. Pour ce faite, tu peux t'appuyer sur ce tuto : https://lemeilleurantivirus.fr/supprime … ndows-8-x/
Il faut cocher "précédentes installations de Windows" (exemple) : c'est ça qui permet de supprimer plusieurs Go inutiles. Tu verras qu'un message d'alerte apparaît pour te signifier qu'il sera impossible de revenir à l'état antérieur (celui d'avant la dernière mise à niveau). Il faut persévérer dans le nettoyage sinon tu vas rester avec tes Go qui ne servent à rien. Les lignes à cocher qui font gagner des Ko, on s'en fout : ce qui paie, c'est de récupérer des Go.

Bonjour,
j'utilise actuellement la version 12.04 LTS en dual boot avec Windows 7 sur un PC Sony VAIO de 2012 (j'avais fait cette installation en avec succès en suivant le protocole sur ubuntu-fr.org).
Pour passer à une version plus récente, j'ai fait une live-USB de la version 18.04.2 LTS et l'ai testée en session live.
Tout est OK.
Je souhaiterais donc installer cette version 18.04.2 LTS à la place de ma 12.04 LTS en conservant le dual boot avec W7.
Je n'ai pas vu de tuto sur ce cas particulier.
En consultant la doc sur le site https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/inst … le_live_cd je ne sais pas si je devrai choisir l'option 3.1 (Installer Ubuntu à côté de Windows), 3.4 (Mettre Ubuntu à niveau) ou 3.5 (Supprimer Ubuntu et réinstaller).
Ou autre chose...
