Bonjour,
Merci pour cette idée, mais je ne suis pas branché en USB-C (et encore moins à travers un dock USB3) mais en direct en displayport. Pourquoi aurais-je besoin de ce pilote ? Ce serait bizarre...
J'ai l'impression que le problème est lié au chipset graphique du processeur 11th gen : pas encore bien supporté sur linux ? On devrait être nombreux à rencontrer ce problème...

Tu peux brancher les deux écrans, redémarrer et donner
dmesg
on trouvera peut être des erreurs là dedans.

Le mode live est très bien pour tester sans installer.
Si cela vient de l'install, cela vindrait plutôt du noyau. Pour cela on peut utiliser mainline pour tester des noyaux ultra récents.

@Nuliel : je suis tenté par l'installation de noyau plus récent (le mien est 5.8 et mainline propose jusqu'au 5.13) mais je ne sais pas trop comment faire :
- j'installe un nouveau noyau et je redémarre ? (ubuntu choisi automatiquement le noyau le plus récent ?)
- comment revenir en arrière si ça déconne ? (notamment si ça ne démarre pas...)

N'installe pas de noyau ayant rc (release candidate) dans le nom. Je te laisse suivre https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/mainline pour installer le noyau plus récent, à noter que tu pourras choisir dans le menu grub si tu veux démarrer sur le noyau 5.8 (par défaut linux boote sur le noyau le plus récent)

Sinon, j'ai testé les versions de noyau jusqu'à la plus récente et les deux écrans sont reconnus à partir de la dernière seulement !

Je retrouve alors un comportement normal à deux écrans et un sous-menu de paramètres habituel ::D:D:D
Par contre, à l'installation du noyau, il est fait mention de dépendances non satisfaites et j'ai un panneau "sens interdit" dans la barre en haut à droite me le rappelant.

Alors la libc c'est la base du système, la version demandée n'est probablement pas dans les dépôts. Les headers ne sont pas nécessaires, sauf si tu utilises des modules noyaux compilés (que ce soit pour du matériel ayant demandé un ajout de module, ou pour virtualbox/nvidia/...)
Je considère que mainline n'est qu'un logiciel pour tester si un noyau permet de résoudre un problème, ce n'est qu'une solution provisoire.
Perso je conseillerais de tester des noyaux plus anciens, jusqu'à voir à partir de quelle version les deux écrans sont supportés. En effet, cela permettrait de savoir s'il y a moyen de choper les noyaux supportant le dual screen de manière plus classique (comprendre par les dépôts). Il est aussi possible que mainline soit une solution provisoire jusqu'en octobre où va sortir la 21.10, et accessoirement une maj des noyaux du HWE normalement (c'est peut être en août pour le HWE)

Merci pour ta réponse. J'ai testé les noyaux par ordre croissant et seul le 5.13 fait fonctionner le double écran.
La 21.10 devrait sortir avec un noyau 5.14 donc ça devrait aller, mais en attendant...

Je suis étonné mais oui, il devrait y avoirun noyau 5.14 sur la 21.10.
Utilises tu virtualbox, ou tout autre programme nécessitant d'ajouter un module noyau? Si non, on peut supprimer le header et attendre jusqu'en octobre pour passer à la 21.10

Non, je n'utilise pas virtualbox.
j'ai supprimé le header et il n'y a plus de problèmes manifestes. Je vais donc tenter de laisser ainsi en attendant la 21.10 !

Je résume le problème et sa résolution :
- Suite à l'installation d'ubuntu 20.04 LTS sur MSI Z 590-A PRO + 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11600 @ 2.80GHz (sans carte graphique), impossibilité de mettre en œuvre un double écran (ports HDI + displayport)
- Diagnostic : le noyau linux 5.8 ne prend pas bien en charge le processeur graphique Intel® UHD Graphics 750 intégré au processeur
- Après test des différents noyaux disponibles par le logiciel Mainline : 5.9, 5.10, ..., le noyau 5.13 prend en charge le double écran.
- je reste sur cette version en attendant la sortie de la distribution ubuntu 21.10 basée sur un noyau linux >= 5.14.
