Bonjour, il faudrait que tu copies le contenu du fichier /var/log/bumblebee.log.
bumblebee-configuration n'existe plus car il ne sert plus à rien.

Ok, c'est le driver nvidia qui est trop vieux.
Essayes ceci :
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
Et dis nous s'il y a du changement.

Tu peux donner à nouveau les logs ? Aussi, peux-tu ajouter le kern.log ? Utilises la balise code plutôt que la balise citation, pour éviter que cela prenne 3 km de hauteur.

Je voudrais d'abord vous remerciez pour votre travail!
Je suis l'heureu posséseur d'un LATITUDE E6420 avec un NVdia 400M (je crois...) qui utilise la techno optimus.
N'étant pas un joueur, enfin j'utilise pas ma distri linux pour jouer, je ne suis que peu intéressé par les performances de ma carte graphique.
Par contre j'ai actuellement 2 écrans sur mon bureau... j'arrive à en brancher un sur ma sortie VGA, c'est déjà bien... mais j'aimerais pouvoir utiliser le second sur une sortie dvi.... et là pas trouvé...
Y-a-t-il un moyen simple d'utiliser mes deux écrans ? Genre allumé les deux cartes graphique tt le tps (les économies d'énergie, m'enfou )?

C'était simplement s ça n'était pas possible qui à se passer momentanément de bumblebee... et peut être configurer dans mon BIOS optimus en extended... puis que clairement sous linus les performance et l'économie de baterie ne m’intéresse pas (pour l'instant)...

Si il existe une solution simple (pc boulot oblige...) pour mettre plein d'écran sur DVI, quite à se passer des économies en énergies et des performances graphiques je prends, sinon... j'attends et je vous remercies pour votre boulot !!!

Le chipster intel permet d'utiliser le port VGA.
Enfin chez moi ça marche. Installe le programme "arandr" (interface graphique à xrandr), branche ton second écran, et fait joujou.
Pour de la vidéo et de la présentation, ça passe (c'est pour ça que je l'utilise).
La carte nvidia, pour l'instant, c'est mort. Sauf sous Windows.

c'est ce que je fais pour mon 24", mais mon problème c'est pour ses petits frères (un 21" et un 19"...)
@archangeGabriel : au besoin je peux faire tourner des tests pour vous... ayant pas mal d'écran... je peux tester à peu près tout type de conf VGA, DVI, HDMI et display-port.
j'ai pas de cable HDMI au boulot, mais je dois pouvoir en trouver un au besoin
je peux brancher mon 24" sur tout ses ports, le 21" et le 19" sur VGA et DVI.
je peux également faire des tests à plus de deux écrans (si je compte l'écran du portable j'en ai 4).
Les 4 en même temps marche sous Win7, c'est la joie d'avoir deux cartes graphiques !!

Bonjour, j'ai aussi un dell latitude 6420, il y a effectivement un moyen de fonctionner sur la Nvidia tous le temps,
bumblebee n'est pas necessaire dans ce cas le pilote nvidia suffit. La sortie hdmi doit fonctionner dans ce cas
(mais je n'ai pas essaye) .
Il suffit d'aller dans le bios et de desactiver la fontion optimus. En cas de doute, Il y a un lien dans l'un de mes
posts precedents aux alentours de la page 33 (desole pour l'imprecision) qui montre une photo de l'ecran du bios.

j'ai fait un mauvaise manip j'ai écrasé mon xorg.conf avec le nvidia... 2 fois comme un boulet...
mon pc ne démare plus qeu sans xorg.conf (j'ai plus d'example du bon...)
et j'ai pus l'acceleration graphique de base
optirun glxpsheres passe nikel
mais glxspheres tt seul sort :

ERROR (596): Could not obtain RGB visual with requested properties
des idées.?

les commandes suivantes mon sauver la vie...
sudo apt-get purge nvidia*
sudo apt-get install --reinstall xserver-xorg-video-intel libgl1-mesa-glx libgl1-mesa-dri xserver-xorg-core
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
sudo update-alternatives --remove gl_conf /usr/lib/nvidia-current/ld.so.conf
plus qu'a reinstaller bumblebee

@chihuahua : Donc tu t'en es sorti. Pour les écrans, j'ai aussi de quoi tester depuis quelque temps chez moi, le problème c'est surtout le temps. Il me faudrait des journées de 48h pour boucler en une semaine ce que je prévois de faire chaque jour... Donc les écrans, pas de problème, le temps pour bidouiller, problème !

Excusez-moi d'avance si dans les 40 pages que je n'ai pas lues se trouvait la solution à mon problème :$ Et un énorme merci aux développeurs qui bossent là-dessus, c'est titanesque! Et à Ange Gabriel pour le support francophone à toutes nos demandes en prime!
Personnellement, en lisant le premier post, j'ai été emballé, ça y est ça va marcher... Bin non ^^ Il ne se passe strictement rien quand je lance :
optirun glxspheres
Mon terminal reste tel quel, juste un retour à la ligne. Pas de message rien du tout. Mon log Bumblebee donne ceci, mon log Xorg.8 ceci et mon kern.log cela.
Est-ce normal ? Puis-je faire quelque chose pour que cela marche ?

Pour le reste, c'est nVidia qui fout ça merde. Déjà, te dire que tu as une GT630M, c'est du gros bullshit de marketeux, parce qu'un réalité c'est rien d'autre qu'une GT540M.
Bumblebee dit que tout va bien, mais Xorg ne démarre jamais.
Dans Xorg.8.log :

Une petite recherche sur Google montre que c'est un bug connu des séries 200&300 de nVidia, bizarre de le revoir ici...
Une solution temporaire proposée à l'époque était d'ajouter intel_iommu=off dans grub.conf pour les arguments du noyau.

Dans ton premier message il y avait cela :
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0"
Pour la seconde partie (ERROR (596)), c'est bizarre, ça devrait être réglé de même. Sinon, c'est un problème ailleurs. Si ça persiste, essaye glxinfo, et copie le résultat dans un pastebin.

Bon je me suis renseigné un peu plus, c'est un bug connu des drivers nVidia, il faut que tu attendes la prochaine version de ceux-ci. Vu que tu utilises déjà le PPA x-swat, tu la verra quand elle sera dispo.
