ubuntu 24.04 écran noir après mise à niveau
Salut à toutes et à tous,
sur un PC qui avait un 22.04 en dual boot avec win 10 j'ai effectué la mise à niveau qui s'est bien déroulée.
Le lendemain, après une mise à jour, écran noir. Après le grub même le démarrage en recovery se plante.
La carte graphique est une Nvidia GM107 GeForce GTX750 Ti.
Le processeur un i5-6402Px4 de 6-7 ans.
Disques: dur de 2To, et ssd 125Go.
Win10 fonctionne bien.
Devrai-je réinstaller tout ?

Pas moyen de démarrer sur un ancien noyau ?
Démarrer sur un noyau précédent
- redémarre en tapotant les touches Majuscules ou Echap
- à l'apparition du menu de grub, descends avec la flèche bas, sur la ligne :Linux previous versionsou
Advanced options for Ubuntu- valide
- choisis un noyau autre que le plus récent.
- valide et laisse le pc poursuivre son démarrage.
Quand on a réussi à afficher le menu de GRUB, il faut alors aller sur la deuxième ligne (Advanced options for Ubuntu ou Options avancées pour Ubuntu en français) puis valider pour faire apparaître un sous-menu où il est alors possible de choisir une autre version de noyau.

As-tu un support d'installation d'Ubuntu (DVD ou clé USB) ?
Pour appliquer la procédure > amorcer_sur_cd_ubuntu#amorcage et arriver à cette étape : essayer_ubuntu_sans_rien_changer_dans_votre_ordinateur et tester la session-live.

J'ai lu et relu le boot-info mais je ne comprends pas bien les suggestions de réparation données en fin de texte.
Y aurait-il un problème au grub?
Si oui, est-ce que la procédure de réinstallation du grub (os-prober, update-grub, grub-install /dev/sdb5) pourrait-elle convenir?

car on voit que c' est ce qu ' indique boot-info :

Alors que non , boot-info a raison , il faut installer le GRUB EFI dans la partition EFI :
using the following options: sdb1/boot/efi
Donc , la procedure correcte est :
(os-prober, update-grub, grub-install /dev/sdb1) ...
je ne sais pas si cela resoudra le probleme , a voir .
le mieux , à mon avis , c ' est de passer par le boot-repair , histoire de virer les résidus dans sdb5 ...

Merci iznobe pour ton intérêt à mon problème.
Je n'ai pas fait, du moins pas volontairement, de réinstallation. J'avais seulement passé le boot-repair sans succès.
De mémoire, quand j'avais installé le 22.04, le grub je l'avais mis sur sdb5 où se trouve aussi le système.
Je vais essayer en le plaçant sur sdb1.

Merci geole.
même le mode recovery avec le noyau 6.8.0-62 se bloque.
Il affiche le menu de récupération mais il reste planté et ni le clavier ni la souris fonctionne.
LE choix de lancer le noyau 6.8.0-62 fait planter just'après l'apparition du logo ubuntu (très grand) et le message "appuyez sur Ctrl+C ...etc"

Dans ce cas , il te faut faire un chroot et reinstaller les paquets manquants pour les noyaux , et voir ce qui bloque .

Je ne suis pas parvenu à corriger avrc chroot.
Après une troisième journée j'ai décidé de procéder à une réinstallation.
