Probleme avec l'acceleration graphique

J'ai activé l'accélération graphique, mais ça me donne une résolution maximale de 800x600. J'ai donc fait

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

pour avoir une plus grande résolution. Mais je ne peut plus jouer aux jeux ! Si je lance openarena, par exemple, ça me donne :

Ça marche aussi en 1024x768, mais impossible de passer en 1280x1024 sans passer par

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

, ce qui empeche de lancer openarena lorsque je suis en 1280x1024

bah rien tu dois avoir la 3D.
sinon va fouiller dans ton panneau de controle nvidia:
gksudo nvidia-settings

j'ai fait sudo nvidia-xconfig, mais la 3d ne marche pas pour autant. Si je fais gksudo nvidia-settings, ça souvre, mais il n'y a que très peu d'options, et le terminal me dit

Salut johnny_rockfort

Comment as tu activé l'accélération graphique ?
Si tu es sous Feisty ,le plus simple c'est encore d'aller dans Système-->Administration-->et Gestionnaire de pilotes propriétaires vérifier si c'est bien activé
Ensuite tu peux télécharger les drivers avec Automatix2 il t'installera tout ça proprement
