triangle rouge
bonjour a tous,
je poste ici car le message qui accompagne ce fameux triangle rouge parle de "update information outdated maybe caused by network problems or by a repository that is no longer available...". Depuis quelques semaines je n'utilise plus beaucoup ubuntu comme je suis passé à fedora ça expliquerait l'obsolescence de certains fichiers (ou depots?) mais quand je fais une verification des mises a jour il me dit que c'est a jour. Avec "sudo apt-get update", sur terminal j'ai pas mal d'erreur 404, comment reparer ça? Vos conseils seraient les bienvenus et vous remercie par avance.

sudo apt-get update(en t'assurant d'abord que ton ordi *buntu est bien connecté sur le net !)

Bonjour,
Ton problème est très simple : ta version d'Ubuntu (Utopic = 14.10) n'est plus maintenue, il va donc falloir te préparer psychologiquement à changer de version. Mais avant toute chose, faire une bonne sauvegarde de tes données.
Je conseillerais de choisir la version 14.04 qui sera maintenue jusqu'en avril 2019 (alors que 15.04 ne le sera bientôt plus et 15.10 qui sort bientôt ne le sera que jusqu'en juillet 2016) et de te faire aider pour l'installer par-dessus ta 14.10 (si tu as un dual boot avec windows, il faudra faire ça prudemment)

Je fais une sauvegarde a chaque utilisation avec l'utilitaire fourni c'est suffisant tu crois? J'avais coché le "home" et la sauvegarde se fait sur une autre partition.Mais est ce que je peux installer la 14.04 sur l'actuelle ou ça craint? Sinon peux tu me dire quel est le mieux pour avoir quelque chose de stable et operationnel sachant que j'ai un hdd avec fedora 22 et un hdd avec le nullissime vista et ubuntu?

Pour la réinstallation, il y a çà dans la doc, déjà : https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/reinstallation_ubuntu
..mais comme dit cqfd93, vu que c'est un multiboot, il faut être scrupuleux (et éventuellement avoir les conseils de malbo par exemple).
...sinon, pourquoi gardes-tu Vista ? Si c'est juste pour quelques logiciels ou des trucs comme iTunes, tu peux aussi faire une VM avec virtualbox.

Vista c'est pour madame qui me casse les pieds, elle a ses logiciels qui n'existent que sous crosoft, je peux plus piffer ces OS. Si c'était que moi je l'aurai viré depuis belle lurette mais j'avais pas pensé à vm . J'ai jamais essayé faudrait que je teste avant. Pour bien faire je vais formater bien que ça m'embête de devoir tout refaire surtout pour ubuntu, il est fonctionnel et tout

...sinon, tu peux toujours tenter de passer en 15.04 (mais comme dit cqfd93 tu devras faire 3 mises à niveau pour avoir la prochaine LTS)
...Je ne sais pas si un
sudo do-release-upgradefonctionne quand la version est obsolète (dans tous les cas, avant de la faire, désactive les pilotes proprios et les PPA)

Je viens de vérifier mon home est dans une partition seul et sur le lien que tu m'as donné ils parlent de reinstaller sur une install existante sans toucher au home (méthode2). Faisable apparement?

salut désolé j'ai des problémes avec le forum, il a changé d'aspect et j'arrivais plus a me connecter mais bon maintenant ça marche.
T'as pas tout pigé, en gros je disais que j'allais faire du propre càd que je vais faire une install propre et je récupère mon home ensuite. Et "j'arrête de polluer" càd j'arrête de surcharger ce topic, y'a pas trop de solutions à part l'install propre.

je suis passé a la 15.04 sans la clean install, je suis passé par la mise a jour (coché les nouvelles versions ubuntu disponible) puis j'ai fais la mise a niveau.Pour l'instant il démarre et ça va il tourne bien on verra à l'usage avec le temps.Merci a vous tous

Bonjour,
Je n'y connais rien, mon fils très gentiment m'a installé Ubuntu.
J'ai aussi un triangle rouge qui apparaît en haut à droite, avec le même message. A chaque fois que je vérifie, le logiciel est bien à jour, et actuellement la version de Ubuntu est 15.10
Ce triangle disparaît quand j’éteins et rallume mon ordi.
Y-a-t-il un autre moyen de le faire disparaître ?

Il serait bon que tu ailles sur cette page ./viewforum.php?id=25 et que tu y cliques sur "nouvelle discussion" (à droite) pour y faire ta demande.
(En effet le règlement du forum prévoit qu'on ne s'installe pas dans le fil de quelqu'un d'autre, même si à première vue les problèmes se ressemblent).
