Bug lors de la MAJ de Ubuntu 22.04 vers 24.04

Bonjour,

Lors du redémarrage vers la fin de la mise à jour l'ordinateur plante et n'arrive pas à terminer le redémarrage. Il y a ceci qui s'affiche lors du démarrage :

Et ensuite ça plante et il y a cela qui s'affiche :

J'ai accès au GRUB (image ci-dessous). J'ai à peu près essayé toutes les fonctions mais ça ne donne rien.

Je suis sur un dual boot avec Windows, donc lors du redémarrage il me propose automatiquement les différentes options de redémarrage, dont les option avancées pour Ubuntu. Lorsque je choisis cette option j'ai ensuite 4 choix possibles.
Linux 6.8.0-51 et Linux 6.8.0-49 avec chaque fois le mode normal ou un recovery mode. J'ai tout essayé mais rien n'y fait.

Quel est le moyen le plus sûr pour faire une réparation et revenir à l'ancienne version ?

Bonjour
A tenter
boote en recovery mode
dis d'activer le réseau
dis d'être root
dis de faire des commandes en appuyant sur la touche entrée
vérifie que le réseau fonctionne

ping -c4 8.8.8.8
ping -c4 google.fr

et réinstalle un bureau.

apt install --reinstall ubuntu-desktop

Merci pour la réponse.

Je comprends tes instructions jusqu'à la commande pour réinstaller le bureau. La suite de ton message je ne comprends pas.

Suite à l'instruction pour vérifier que le réseau fonctionne j'ai reçu ceci :

Puis au moment où j'ai donné l'instruction pour réinstaller le bureau, il y eu un message d'erreur et une invitation à lancer "Dpkg configure", ce que j'ai fait.

Ensuite un nouveau message d'erreur me suggérais de lancer "apt -fix-broken install" ce que j'ai fait également.

Mais là encore une fois des nouveaux messages d'erreur m'invitent à lancer fix-missing.
Je l'ai fait avec l'instruction suivante : "sudo apt update --fix-missing" mais là aussi il y a des choses qui ne fonctionnent pas.

Ensuite je ne savais pas aller plus loin, j'ai donc éteint l'ordinateur pour le redémarrer.

Et là, horreur, il ne démarre plus que directement dans le BIOS.

Du coup, qu'est-ce que je peux tenter ? Y a-t-il une possibilité avec une clé USB et un programme de restauration, réparation de faire quelque chose ?

Y a-t-il un moyen que je récupère l'accès à cette installation Ubuntu ?
Y a-t-il une possibilité de faire une restauration vers la version 22.04.xx ?
Je suis malade, je suis à une semaine de devoir partir à l'étranger et je dois terminer des travaux sur cet ordinateur, est-ce que quelqu'un peut m'aider ?

Bonjour.
L'activation du réseau n'a pas fonctionné.
Tu as eu raison  de faire les autres commandes mais elles rencontrent le même  problème.
Tente de réparer le réseau en suivant les conseils donnés dans le paragraphe 4.3  En espérant que les conseils soient encore exacts pour les noms du réseau.

Malheureusement comme évoqué dans mon avant dernier message, je ne sais pas pour quelle raison mais maintenant le pc démarre uniquement directement dans le BIOS. Il ne m'offre plus l'options de choisir de démarrer sur Ubuntu en mode avancé, ni d'ailleurs de démarrer sous Windows ou sous Ubuntu en mode normal. Toutes les options ont disparu, il arrive directement dans le BIOS.
Dans le BIOS j'ai bien l'option "Add boot option", mais ensuite je suis perdu avec les menus et paramètres qu'il me propose.

Je ne comprends pas quelle boot option ajouter ?
Je ne comprends pas non plus pourquoi il a supprimé l'option de boot sur Windows ?

Ok, recherchant sur internet j'ai trouvé parmi les nombreuses options de chemin possible comment rajouter la boot option Windows. Du coup j'ai de nouveau Windows qui peut booter. Par contre les options de boot sur Ubuntu n'apparaissent toujours pas.
J'ai essayé d'ajouter toutes les options suivantes, de les mettre en première position dans la liste du boot, et de rebooter le PC mais à chaque fois ça ignore Ubuntu et boot directement sur Windows.

Que dois-je faire pour qu'il puisse à nouveau voir qu'il y a un foutu deuxième OS sur ce PC ?

Je commence à être désespéré, en plus je suis malade et il me reste une semaine pour réussir récupérer ces fichiers avant de devoir partir à l'étranger :-(

Information supplémentaire, si je tente une réinstallation de Ubuntu, le système voit bien qu'il y a déjà présent sur le PC Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS. J'ai évidemment arrêté l'installation car je dois récupérer l'ancienne et mes fichiers.

Merci pour le tuyau, je garde ça sous le coude au cas où la récupération du système n'est vraiment pas possible.
J'aimerais tellement pouvoir récupérer le système, parce que j'ai de nombreux favoris dans différents navigateurs, plus d'autres données que je ne pourrai probablement pas retrouver si je fais juste une récupération des fichiers.

Il doit bien y avoir un moyen de faire réapparaître Ubuntu comme option au démarrage du PC non ?

Donc j'ai suivi la procédure de Boot repair mais les options de booter sur Ubuntu ne s'affichent toujours pas au démarrage.

J'ai donc essayé de modifier l'ordre des options de boot dans le BIOS. Ca ne change rien.

J'ai décoché l'option "secure boot" dans le BIOS et également l'option "Démarrage rapide" dans Windows, mais sans résultat.

J'ai refait la procédure de boot repair et voici le nouveau résultat, qui est le même que la première fois:

Pourtant je pense que c'est lui qui a fabriqué la ligne boot0005 à moins que cela soit toi comme tu as certainement fabriqué la ligne Boot0004 avec un   nom personnel

Si votre micrologiciel UEFI ne permet pas de modifier l'ordre de démarrage, modifiez l'entrée de démarrage par défaut du chargeur de démarrage Windows.
Par exemple, vous pouvez démarrer Windows, puis taper la commande suivante dans une invite de commande administrateur :
bcdedit /set {bootmgr}   \EFI\ubuntu\grubx64.efi .

Comme j'ai noté que tu pouvais  booter windows, il ne te reste plus qu'à demander à windows de lancer le grub avec la commande ci-dessus ( J'ai noté que le secure-boot est déactivé).

Effectivement tu as vu juste, l'entrée Boot0004 c'est moi qui l'ai créée et celle Boot0005 c'est le système qui l'a créée.

Sous Windows11 dans un terminal en mode admin j'ai tenté de modifier le choix du bootloader par défaut, soit selon ton instruction, soit selon les suggestion d'instruction faites par le système. Hélas les résultats sont négatifs, voir ci-dessous:

Cette nouvelle instruction ne fonctionne pas non plus.

PS C:\Users\AdminG15-> bcdedit /set {bootmgr} \EFI\ubuntu\grubx64.efi
La commande de définition spécifiée n’est pas valide.

Par contre entre temps en ouvrant msconfig je vois que sous "démarrer" il n'y a que l'option Windows11 qui est visible. Est-ce qu'il ne faudrait pas d'abord créer une entrée ? Mais là non plus je n'arrive pas trouver l'instruction précise :-(

tu es déjà sous windows11  donc l'entrée est bonne.
Je n'aurais pas du appeler la traduction automatique

C'est la même commande que l'une de celles que j'ai utlilisé précédemment (début du message #20) et donc même résultat:

Exécutez « bcdedit /? » pour obtenir de l’aide sur la ligne de commande.
