World Of Warcraft [WoW] sur mon X31

Bonjour à tous

Alors voilà je vous expose mon problème, j'ai installer Ubuntu Feisty Fawn dans la semaine. Tous marche niquel j'ai vraiment pas de problème avec à part pour WoW impossible de le lancer (j'utilise Wine)

En faite, le jeux se lance j'arrive a matter la cinématique d'intro et après retour sur gnome et plus rien.

Donc j'ai d'abord suivit toutes les techniques que j'ai trouver sur le forum qui renvoyais sur différent forum anglais, je me suis pris la tête pendant 2 ou 3 jours à ne chercher que ca.

Finalement je me suis dit peut-être que c'est la carte graphique de mon X31 qui est mal supporté, alors j'ai décidé d'installer les drivers propriétaires mais je n'arrive pas à trouver le model de ma carte graphique je seulement que c'est une "Ati Mobility" 16 Mo

Sous windows j'arrivais a jouer (malgrés les graphismes minable et mes 9 - 15 fps) Je gardais une lueur d'espoirs pour pouvoir jouer sous Ubuntu

Si quelqu'un pouvais me guider

Pour avoir une idée plus précise du modèle de carte graphique installée, tu peux essayer cette comande

lspci |grep VGA

Après, si je me rappelle bien, le site d'ati fournit quelque part la liste des chipsets que supporte sont pilote proprio.

Au vu des erreurs (par exemple err:wgl:X11DRV_wglGetProcAddress (wglMakeContextCurrentARB) - not found), je crois que l'accélération 3D n'est pas installée.

Tu peux le vérifier avec la commande

glxinfo |grep direct

La, je ne connaît pas trop, mais je pense que wow doit pouvoir fonctionner, peut-être en vitesse légèrement dégradée, avec le pilote radeon. Un possesseur de carte ATI pourra sûrement nous renseigner

Je ne desepere pas car en mettant le bureau virtuel et en m'enervant dessus (je la fesais bouger partout) j'ai pus appercevoir pendant un quart de seconde la fenetre de login

sur vos messages d'erreurs ,j'avais déja recherché sur l'internet,et je ne suis pas un expert de wine,moi aussi j'ai eu des problemes !
parcontre votre CG Ati Mobility" 16 Mo me parait trop faible pour jouer sous linux.
pour votre xorg.conf vous avez pris le driver radeon ?
vous etes en mode "1024x768" vous avez un portable ?

Ouai c'est un portable IBM x31

j'arrive a jouer sans probleme sous windows avec les parametres au minimum

je vais bientot me racheter un ordinateur portable compatible ubuntu directement

pour votre portable,installer plutôt un debian etch plus adapté a votre configue.

En lisant les logs, j'ai l'impression que le pilote 3d n'est pas "complet". Du coup, ca ne se présente pas terrible. A part voir si cette carte est supportée par une version du pilote propriétaire (voire même un peu ancienne) et bidouiller pour la faire marcher le cas échéant, je ne vois pas trop que faire..

Je me présente en vitesse: Bruno, belge, 17 ans, en période de transition to linux.

Voilà j'ai Ubuntu Feisty sur mon portable (Acer Aspire 5633wlmi) depuis environ 3 mois, tout ce passe bien. Seulement voilà, j'ai entrepris d'installer WoW ce matin avec Wine. J'ai donc suivi le tuto de la doc ubuntu-fr et là exactement les mêmes symptômes que Trask. Alors plutôt que de recréer un post, j'uppe celui-ci.

Ma version wine: 0.9.44
Mon chipset graphique: Intel Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML

Je vous renvoie au post #14 pour les logs de wine au lancement de WoW.
Et enfin, je vous copie mon xorg.conf en edit car là je suis sur mon pc de bureau (winxp)...

Essaie de lancer en d3d9 voir si cela marche mieux (ajouter ou modifier la ligne SETgxApi "d3d9" dans le fichier WTF/Config.wtf)

J'ai testé et apparemment avec d3d9 ça fonctionne "mieux".

Je vois l'écran d'accueil assez fluidement (ça n'était pas fluide avec opengl et d3d) et quand je me connecte je vois aussi mon perso (là j'arrive même pas à cette étape avec opengl! d3d si mais sans fluidité) sans aucun soucis, mais juste après le chargement j'ai un retour gnome...

Bon, j'ai continué dans mes investigations et j'ai franchi une étape de plus. Maintenant je rentre dans le jeu après le chargement, mais ça plante dans les 2 secondes. (J'ai bon espoir ^^ Surtout qu'à ce moment précis le magasin d'informatique de ma région m'a téléphoné pour me dire que ma barrette de mémoire est arrivée au magasin:) )

Donc pour arriver à ce résultat j'ai:

1- rajouté ça au regedit (en copiant ce qui suit dans un fichier .reg puis faire "regedit fichier.reg" dans la console):

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D]
"OffscreenRenderingMode"="fbo"
"PixelShaderMode"="enabled"
"UseGLSL"="enabled"
"VertexShaderMode"="hardware"

Où XXX est la mémoire embarquée de la carte graphique.

2- rajouté ces lignes dans Config.wtf:

SET ffxGlow "0" #désactive les effets glow
SET UIFaster "2" #active partiellement seulement l'accélération UI
SET gxWindow "1" #mode fenetre

3- rajouté ça dans la Section Device de xorg.conf:

Option "UseFastTLS" "2"

et 4- passé en mode WinXP (onglet applications) dans winecfg avec seulement OSS de coché (onglet audio)
