Modification temporaire.
Il suffit de démarrer normalement. Lorsque la première ligne du menu du grub s'affiche
Mon grub ne s'affiche pas !

J'ai bidouillé il y a quelques temps une vielle tour Hp (ordi de secours d'un ami) qui était HS, en montant une carte mère équipée d'un Céleron 1,2GHz et 2 barrettes de 512mo, je pense les récupérer car ce Mac peut accepter
2Gb de ram pc. 100 ou pc133
Hier sur la tour Apple, j'ai remplacé le lecteur cd-rom par un lecteur/graveur cd dvd afin d'avoir un lecteur dvd.
Sur un autre pc, j'ai gravé l'iso de Lubuntu 16.04.5, la dernière puisque les versions 18.04 abandonnent Apple.
Les mises à jour sont maintenues jusqu'en avril 2021.

Puis pas mal de tests pour arriver à trouver la solution face aux refus d'installation.
C'est l'écran que j'utilisais qui posait problème : LG Flatron w1943sb
En le remplaçant par un écran Compaq FP7317 (17 pouces) l'affichage de la session live Lubuntu 16.04.5 Desktop powerpc s'affiche.
Test même live avec un 3ème écran : Samsung SyncMaster 931BW et ça marche également.
Donc le souci était la carte graphique (16Mo) qui ne devait pas arriver à alimenter le 1er écran (qui pourtant n'est pas le plus grand).
Maintenant j'ai le choix de faire l'installation sur les 2 disques durs internes : 10gb et 250gb ou un de 80gb que j'ai en rabe.
J'ai pu installer sur le 10gb afin de conserver OSX Tiger sur celui de 250gb.

J'ai fini toutes les mises à jour, ça c'est bien passé. Puis j'ai ajouter un traitement de texte (Abiword). Firefox version 47.
Je suis surpris (de manière positive) qu'une bécane fabriquée entre octobre et décembre 1999 puisse rouler tranquille alors qu'avec mon barebone de 2004 j'avais été obligé de passer à des versions Firefox ESR plus anciennes.

il y a eu de gros efforts d'optimisation de firefox ces derniers temps, à mon avis l'explication est plutôt de ce côté là.

448 mises à jour quand même après l’installation de Lubuntu. (314mo réceptionnés en wifi en 6mn58)
Puis apèrs 134,8mo.
Elt si elles étaient incluses dans l'iso ? ... il suffirait peut-être juste de mettre l'iso à jour ?
Sinon je l'avais anticipé dans ma signature mais j'ai remis les deux disques durs originaux :
- celui de 10Gb qui a maintenant Lubuntu et une sorte de grub adapté à Apple "yaboot"
- le disque dur de 250 Gb dont seulement 128 sont reconnus (limitation propre au PowerPC G4)
Donc je suis sur un dual boot avec deux systèmes chacun sur leur disque dur.
Linux ne reconnaît que ma clé usb wifi NetGear et OSX Tiger que la clé usb wifi DLink.
La tour à donc les deux clés.
Je pense modifier yaboot pour que la machine démarre sur osx en priorité.

extrait de mon post 28 car souci
Puis pas mal de tests pour arriver à trouver la solution face aux refus d'installation.
C'est l'écran que j'utilisais qui posait problème : LG Flatron w1943sbEn le remplaçant par un écran Compaq FP7317 (17 pouces) l'affichage de la session live Lubuntu 16.04.5 Desktop powerpc s'affiche.
Test même live avec un 3ème écran : Samsung SyncMaster 931BW et ça marche également.Donc le souci était la carte graphique (16Mo) qui ne devait pas arriver à alimenter le 1er écran (qui pourtant n'est pas le plus grand).
Au départ écran Samsung m'affiche des bugs quand j'ouvre Abiword (écran qui saute) puis après redemarrage fond d'écran d'origine en mode très dégradé.
Je change "encore" d'écran pour mettre le plus petit le Compaq 17 pouces, ouf tout refonctionne.

Non OS X n'arrive pas à démarrer par défaut, seulement si je clique "x" dans le menu de démarrage de yaboot (une sorte de grub).

J'ai noté que le noyau a fait une petite mise à jour pour passer de la version 4.4.0-137 à la version 4.4.0-138.
C'est l'actuelle sur Ubuntu 18.04 , 4.15.0-38 .

Je ne sais plus quel post alimenter, mais j'ai reçu une information comme quoi la 3ème distri possible sur cette machine était Ubuntu Mate powerpc 16.04.1 LTS http://ubuntu-mate.org/download/
Je doute de sa réactivité par rapport à Lubuntu 16.04 powerpc.
Pour ce qui est du rapport conso mémoire de Lubuntu je tourne à vide avec ça donc 124 c'est ça ?
