Audacity qui ne se lance pas voire qui freeze
Bonjour,
Espérant être dans la bonne section 
Voici mon problème, sous Ubuntu Studio 18.04
J'ai besoin dans le cadre de mon travail de pouvoir utiliser Audacity qui est installé théoriquement sur la bécane (version 2.2.1 si ma mémoire est bonne). Problème : au lancement (donc en cliquant sur l'icône audacity) cela plante systématiquement, avec du coup le logo audacity qui reste affiché au milieu de l'écran.
Avec mon collègue et divers internautes nous avons essayé plusieurs méthodes dont renommer le dossier plug-ins en plug-ins-bak, ou supprimer les fichiers temporaires audacity.lock et .sock
Parfois cela fonctionne (avec le risque d'avoir deux audacity ouverts, un fonctionnel et un "freezé" qui ne disparait pas en utilisant killall audacity) mais au moindre redémarrage/plantage... cela ne fonctionne plus.
Evidemment, si la solution était juste de supprimer les .lock je le ferais systématiquement même si je perds du temps, mais, cela ne m'a pas l'air suffisant.
Un message revient 'en boucle" (plusieurs dizaines de lignes) dans le terminal lorsque je tente de lancer audacity via un terminal : ALSA lib pcm_dsnoop_c:618: (snd_pcm_dsnoop_open) unable to open slave
Autres infos qui pourraient être utiles. Ma table de mixage est branchée uniquement en jack (pas d'utilisation du port usb) et c'est ALSA qui fait tourner audacity.
Difficile pour l'instant d'être plus précis (d'autant que je suis relativement débutant sous ubuntu et nouveau ici ) , j'attends vos questions pour pouvoir y répondre.

Amha, ce PC est "agé" ce qui pourrait expliquer que Ubuntu 18.04 soit un peu trop lourd, peut-être qu'avec une variante plus légère (Xubuntu 18.04 ou Ubuntu-Mate voire Lubuntu) il peinerait moins et serait plus réactif.
Si moins de 4Go de RAM...

Bonjour, je suis le collègue en question ^^
je me permets d'apporter une précision : Ubuntu Studio a comme environnement graphique XFCE, tout comme Xubuntu. Donc ça va ça ne rame pas trop de ce côté là, et malgré son âge, ce pc est encore assez réactif. Côté ram on doit être à 4 Go mais je n'en suis pas certain.
Perso : Tour Packard Bell avec Xubuntu 18.04 LTS (32 bits) + 20.04 LTS (64 bits) + Win XP SP3 - Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 2,93 Ghz - 4 Go Ram / Netbook Packard Bell Dot S avec Lubuntu 16.04 LTS + Win XP SP3 - Intel Atom N450 - 2 Go Ram / Boulot : AMD Ryzen 5 1400 - 8 Go Ram -Xubuntu 18.04 LTS

Je n'avais vu que "Ubuntu", j'avais zappé le Studio.
Mes excuses.
Donc pour Studio, le CPU et la RAM même si < 4Go ne sont pas un problème.
La config matérielle est suffisante pour l'OS.

Du neuf: Allez savoir pourquoi, j'ai enfin eu accès à un rapport d'erreur. Le problème semble se situer dans executable path usr/bin/audacity (l'écran ne m'affiche que ça)

Cela fonctionne à nouveau :
j'ai tenté ceci :
-> Désinstall/purge d'Audacity
-> sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/audacity et sudo apt-get install
puis sudo audacity.
Subsiste tout de même ce message qui apparaît dans le terminal lorsque je lance la commande via terminal
