Le retour au #26 me semble normal, je ne sais pas pourquoi tu dois charger le module mt7601u manuellement au démarrage.
Faudrait voir ce que @xubu1957 en dit...

Ajout: Tu pourrais aussi démarrer avec la clé usb débranchée et l'insérer une fois ta session ouverte, puis attendre environ 30 seondes et donner le retour de la commande dmesg ?

Les pilotes Mediatek sont complexes > Bluetooth - Installation du pilote MT7630E ,

Ma seule capacité est de rechercher des solutions sur le Net, mais expliquer pourquoi le pilote ne fonctionne pas, je ne sais pas. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ne semble pas y avoir de paquet mt7601-sta-dkms dans les dépôts de la 18.04, il faut le ppa:thopiekar/mt7601 ?
Je ne sais pas ce que vaut ce pilote, ce serait à damien1 de voir dans ce cas...

Salut,

Au vu du problème rencontré, je pense que le système n'est pas bien d'aplomb et qu'il y a des traces d'installation de pilote depuis l'extérieur.

Pour éclaircir la question, le mieux est de tester un démarrage en live session de la 18.04 (voire une 20.04) et vérifier si ton wifi et la connexion filaire fonctionnent. Si c'est le cas, le plus simple serait de réinstaller.

Non, après encore un redémarage, je dois toujours refaire un modprobe.
Par contre avec une live USB 18.04 tout fonctionne, c'est donc un problème dans la mise à jour...
Pas trop le courage de faire une réinstalation en prenant le risque de perdre des fichiers...

Une dernière tentative de contournement serait d'activer le service systemd rc-local.service et d'y inclure les commandes de rechargement du module WiFi.
C'est un peu une bidouille, mais je crois ça devrait marcher sans créer d'instabilité sur ton système.
Je le fais chez-moi pour créer des ports rfcomm au démarrage servant à connecter des récepteurs GPS Bluetooth.

Si on se fie à ce tuto: How to Enable /etc/rc.local with Systemd
On crée le fichier /etc/systemd/system/rc-local.service:

sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/rc-local.service

...dans lequel on colle ce contenu:

[Unit]
 Description=/etc/rc.local Compatibility
 ConditionPathExists=/etc/rc.local

[Service]
 Type=forking
 ExecStart=/etc/rc.local start
 TimeoutSec=0
 StandardOutput=tty
 RemainAfterExit=yes
 SysVStartPriority=99

[Install]
 WantedBy=multi-user.target

Faire Ctrl+o (lettre minuscule « o ») suivi de la touche «Entrée» pour écrire et fermer le fichier, puis Ctrl+x pour sortir de l'éditeur nano.

Ensuite, créer un fichier /etc/rc.local:

sudo nano /etc/rc.local

...dans lequel tu colles ce contenu:

#!/bin/bash
modprobe -r mt7601u && modprobe mt7601u
exit 0

...même procédure que plus haut pour enregistrer et fermer le fichier
Il faut ensuite rendre ce fichier exécutable (important):

sudo chmod +x /etc/rc.local

On active le service rc.local:

sudo systemctl enable rc-local.service

...suivre d'un autre redémarrage, et voir si le WiFi fonctionne normalement?

Pour retourner à l'état précédent si ça ne marche pas, désactiver le service rc-local:

sudo systemctl stop rc-local.service
sudo systemctl disable rc-local.service

...et supprimer les deux fichiers créés:

sudo rm /etc/rc.local
sudo rm /etc/systemd/system/rc-local.service

Ça reste quand même un simple contournement, pas vraiment une soluce durable.
Lors de mises à jour du noyau, tu pourrais tester en désactivant ce service pour voir si ça fonctionnerait normalement sans le service rc-local:

Pour désactiver:

sudo systemctl disable rc-local.service

...suivi d'un redémarrage.

Pour réactiver, si nécessaire:

sudo systemctl enable rc-local.service

...encore une fois suivi d'un redémarrage.
