Ubuntu 20.04 démarrage impossible (SEV: failed), /var de 60go

Bonjour !
Tout à l'heure en sortant mon PC de veille j'ai reçu une notification selon laquelle il ne me restait que 716 Mo de mémoire libre. J'ai été surpris car j'ai alloué 100 go de SSD à Ubuntu, et je stocke toutes mes données sur un HDD, documents, téléchargements... Tout sauf les logiciels.
Comme proposé par la notification j'ai lancé l'analyseur d'utilisation des disques :
dossier home : ~35/40 go dont une bonne vingtaine par des jeux steam
dossier /var de 60 go dont 50 go dans /var/log
j'ai ouvert l'application Fichiers pour aller voir mais comme elle buguais j'ai tenté un redémarrage.
Je précise que j'ai installé Ubuntu 20.04 la semaine dernière, le jour de sa sortie officielle, et que je n'avais jusqu'ici aucun problème.

Arrivé au grub j'ai sélectionné Ubuntu. Mais au lieu de démarrer il m'a affiché :

J'ai cherché cette erreur sur internet et n'ai pas trouvé grand chose de concluant, mais j'ai vu un conseil : mettre à jour le bios, ce que j'ai tenté. Toute une aventure qui n'a rien changé.

J'ai donc tenté de booter en mode sans échec (option en dessous du boot Ubuntu classique dans le grub) et essayé les différentes options. Quand j'ai tenté de réparer les paquets, le système m'a répondu qu'il lui fallait au moins 120Mo d'espace.
Je suis passé en mode commande et j'ai supprimer le dossier Steam afin de faire respirer mon système, ce qui m'a en fait permis de redémarrer sans même avoir besoin de réparer les paquets.

Reste le problème : j'ai vu des gens paniquer pour un /var de quelques centaines de Mo... Et j'ai un /var de 60 Go ! :o:o

La dernière chose que j'ai faite hier avant de mettre mon PC en veille c'est d'installer Mono depuis Synaptic, et un peu plus tôt installer le .deb de Discord parce que la version Snap ne marchait pas bien.

J'ai essayé de vous donner toutes les infos possibles...
Aidez moi s'il vous plaît

1) Est-ce la même machine à "CPU AMD Ryzen 2700, carte mère Aorus Gigabyte X470 ultra gaming, GPU Nvidia Geforce 1070 Ti" qu'en ./viewtopic.php?id=2027962 ?

2) Faire de la place sans tout effacer
Tu démarres en recovery-root via les options avancées de grub,
tu tapes exactement :

cd /var/log && tail -1000 syslog > /tmp/log && cat /tmp/log > syslog && du syslog

Tu postes ici le retour.

Tu redémarres normalement.

3) Recherche des lignes répétitives dans syslog
Poste le retour de

sudo tail -150 /var/log/syslog

.

4) Un fichier système qui appartient au groupe de l'user :

c'est parfaitement anormal.
Mais pour l'instant on laisse cela de côté.

(1) Oui, c'est la même machine, la seule différence est le changement 18.04 Mate -> 20.04 classique.
(2) Je vais faire ça, mais je ne vais pas pouvoir copier coller le résultat en recovery mode. Je vais tenter et voir à prendre une photo. À moins qu'il y ait possibilité d'envoyer le résultat dans un fichier texte auquel je puisse accéder après le redémarrage ?
(3) Pas besoin de reboot pour ça alors je te l'envoie tout de suite.

Il me renvoie tout un tas de logs qui datent d'il y a 5 minutes, quand j'ai sorti l'ordi de la veille dans laquelle je l'ai plongé hier (après avoir posté mon premier message). Et rien qui date du 29, quand le bug a eu lieu.

Donc ton syslog était passé de 50 Gio à 108 kio.

Mais la cause de l'inflation de syslog n'a pas été éliminée.
Dans les 150 lignes que tu as postées, celles-ci

Je crois que c'est un problème de réseau. Ce qui n'est pas ma spécialité.
Je vais demander du renfort. D'autant plus que je vais être indisponible.

De ton côté, garde un oeil sur

EDIT, frappe corrigée :

FIN d'edit
en laissant ce terminal ouvert, et relèves-y les lignes récurrentes, que tu posteras ici.

Bonjour Xubu,
Je suis du coup allé voir le lien que tu indique, il semble y avoir des similitudes avec mon problème. Je n'ai néanmoins pas vu de problèmes avec internet depuis que j'ai installé la 20.04, du moins rien de suffisamment gênant pour que je m'en soucie. En revanche le Syslog se rempli aussi et de manière bien plus exagérée sans doute...
Au sujet du lien vers le bug report, de mon côté à la sortie de veille internet se remet à fonctionner rapidement, quelques rapides secondes, ce que j'ai toujours trouvé normal...

Est-ce que tu as un conseil pour résoudre ce problème réseau (qui à part dans les logs est pour moi invisible) et le problème de surcharge du fichier syslog (je ne comprends pas pourquoi la taille du fichier n'est pas limitée par linux pour éviter ce genre de cas) ?
Par ailleurs au delà du fichier Syslog qui concentre le gros du problème (50 des 60 go) je pense que la taille des autres fichiers du dossier var est également déraisonnable, ils prennent 10go en tout, tout de même.

Je te remercie toi aussi pour ton aide et je me tiens prêt à tester ce que tu me dira de tester.

En réseau, je ne suis pas compétent, dans le premier lien cité au #9, cela semblait provenir des DNS.

Je vois dans tes retours les mentions de l'IPv4 et de l'IPv6.

Je pense que tu reste plus compétent que moi en la question...
Personnellement, je ne vois pas trop comment exploiter les informations des différents liens que tu m'a montrés.

diffère : ce n'est plus syslog qui fait 50go mais syslog.1 donc peut-être que le problème d'internet que l'on trouve dans le syslog actuel n'est pas le problème qui a causé la taille de l'ancien fichier syslog devenu syslog.1

Dans un premier temps, tu supprimes les vieux fichiers. C'est sans risque

sudo rm  /var/log/syslog.1

Mais ils vont se récréer régulièrement donc le plus sage est d'éviter de les créer!!!

Il faut commenter deux lignes. Je pense que cela ne sera pas efficace immédiatement. Boot probablement nécessaire

Pour la suite, il faudra suivre avec cette commande

journalctl -f

Tu donneras aussi le retour de cette commande

ls -lSh /var/log/journal/*

NOTA. Il faudrait peut-être ouvrir un bug launchpad si tu as quelques connaissances en anglais.

merci de me le dire, je n'étais pas sûr de pouvoir supprimer cette daube sans risque.
Mais est-ce que ça serai utile pour remonter à la source du bug ? Je peux le garder un temps si c'est utile à un développeur pour comprendre l'origine du problème.

oui, je me débrouille assez en anglais je pense. Je devrai m'y mettre. Je voulais vérifier que ce n'était pas plus courant que je croyais avant de faire ce genre de rapports.

J'ai cru comprendre que le problème est encore présent...
Chaque jour qui passe décale le fichier d'un numéro, Je pense qu'en version 20.04 , le paramétrage n'a pas changé, il sera éliminé le neuvième jour.

Pour le bug, Je ne sais pas trop comment faire officiellement
1) Voici le mode d'emploi https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs
2) Il faut d'abord s'enregistrer ou peut-être qu'un moment de poster le rapport, tu auras la demande. C'est basé sur ton adresse email
3) A priori, pour créer, tu frappes cette commande

et c'est parti
