[ Résolu] HP DeskJet Plus 4122 - pas de scan avec Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS

Bonsoir à tous,
je viens d'acquérir une HP DeskJet Plus 4122 et je n'arrive pas à faire fonctionner le scanner.
Ce modèle d'imprimante nécessite à minima hplip-3.20.5.
j'ai fait une installation custom de hplip 3.20.9, l'impression fonctionne correctement mais pas de scan.
Je suppose (débutant sur linux..) que c'est du à "pyqt5" et à "pil".
Y a t'il une solution pour y remedier ?,

Bonsoir,

Il semble que ton appareil nécessite l'installation du greffon prorpriétaire ( «plugin» ) d'après ce site: hplip supported devices ?

Si tu as bien installé hplip en version 3.20.9, il te faudrait récupérer le greffon en même version, hplip-3.20.9-plugin.run sur ce site:
hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/plugins

Cette commande devrait télécharger le fichier en question dans ton répertoire courant:

 wget https://developers.hp.com/sites/default/files/hplip-3.20.9-plugin.run

Il faut ensuite en lancer l'installation de cette façon:

sudo sh hplip-3.20.9-plugin.run

Note: sudo n'est peut-être pas nécessaire, à toi de voir si ça se lance en mode simple utilisateur.

Remarque aussi qu'il te faudra peut-être supprimer le paquet ippusbxd, qui semble causer problème pour certains appareils branchés en USB sur la 20.04; pour le faire:

sudo apt purge ippusbxd

C'est sous toute réserve, je ne suis pas expert en imprimantes, ne possédant qu'une ancienne HP LaserJet P1006 qui fonctionne parfaitement pour moi depuis de nombreuses années.

En espérant que ça puisse t'être utile.

Bonsoir ylag et grigouille

J'ai réussi à faire fonctionner le scan en installant le plugin 3.20.5 et en refaisant une install custom avec hplip-3.20.5.

J'ai fait une copie écran si ça peut aider (les points d'interrogation indique un choix par défaut)
Je n'ai pas compris la diff entre les class et les discretes drivers, j'ai pris le choix par défaut (d)
le p/n pil est introuvable
Concernant l'install du hplip-3.20.5-plugin, je l'avais déjà installé avant hplip en suivant les préco de ylag, je suppose
que c'est pour cela qu'il est en "failed"

Superbe trace de l'installation custom ! Visiblement le plugin est installé donc inutile de faire "hp-plugin -i".

Si ça fonctionne, c'est que c'est correctement installé malgré les retours d'erreurs...?----> Je n'ai pas compris pourquoi, je suppose que c'est dû au fait  que j'avais déjà installé le plugin selon ta méthode  (hplip-3.20.9-plugin.run) et que j'ai refait un (hplip-*.run) ce qui faisait une 2eme install du plugin ?

Tout fonctionne donc ? -----> oui le scan et l'impression fonctionne correctement

Je me joins à cette discussion car pareil, impossible de scanner à partir des (nombreuses) multi-fonctions HP du réseau. L'impression fonctionne (à peu prêt, ce sera un autre sujet).
J'ai une installation 20.04 LTS de base. Comment savoir quelle version de HPLIP est installée et donc appliquer la solution de "JLP 20.04.1 LTS" ?

Ce qui m'agace c'est que ça fonctionnait très bien aussi en 16.04 LTS...
Du coup qu'en pensez-vous ? Je tente une mise à jour de HPLIP vers la toute dernière version ou j'attends qu'elle arrive par la voie normale des mises à jours ?

À mon avis, à ne faire que si tes imprimantes ne sont pas supportées par la version de hplip installée de base sur ton système.
Pour vérifier ce qu'il en est, faire une recherche sur ce site: HPLIP, appareils supportés.

Tu ne sembles pas avoir donné le retour compet de la commande, était-ce bien la dernière ligne ?
Se pourrait-il que le greffon se soit installé malgré le message d'erreur ?
...peut-être vérifier avec:

hp-plugin -i

Sinon, et sous toute réserve, peut-être tenter d'installer le paquet python-gobject; c'est disponible dans les dépôts officiels de la 20.04 et ça ne semble pas tirer trop de dépendances.

...puis retenter l'installation du greffon?

C'est vraiment sous toute réserve, je n'ai aucune idée de la pertinence de la manip.
Au pire, simplement supprimer python-gobject pour revenir à l'état initial.

C'est ce que je pense aussi. ceci étant, les imprimantes sont "moyennement bien" gérées avec cette 20.04 LTS: nous retrouvons avec toutes les imprimantes réseau de l'étage accessibles... Ca sera l'occasion d'un autre post.

Non, l'utilitaire hp-plugin ne sert qu'à gérer l'installation du greffon propriétaire (le "plugin"...), et pas l'installation de hplip.

En général, il est déconseillé de lancer hp-plugin -i avec « sudo ».
Retente peut-être en simple utilisateur, pour voir si l'installation du greffon se serait quand même effectuée ?

error: Python gobject/dbus may be not installed

As-tu installé le paquet python-gobject, tel que suggéré au commentaire #13 ?

J'ai réussi à faire fonctionner le scan en installant le plugin 3.20.5 et en refaisant une install custom avec hplip-3.20.5.

Là, je t'égare un peu si ça fonctionne toujours, désolé...
Comme @grigouille tentait de le faire remarquer au #17, il n'y aurait pas de problème à part le fait que l'on arrive pas à faire détecter l'installation du greffon avec la commande hp-plugin...

Sur 20.04 pour une HP en USB, je suis passé par sudo -i, alors qu'en 18.04 tout passait en simple user.
Pour une HP en réseau Ethernet, ça passe en user... mystère.
Sur Debian Buster, effectivement, c'est sudo -i.
