La prochaine fois utilise le mode "interactif", on aura plus d'information.

Aucun lien avec ton problème mais je te conseille d'investiguer le résultat de "sudo apt-get update"

Je suis très surpris que tu ais réussi à faire une installation "automatique". D'habitude sous Ubuntu 20.04, ce n'est pas possible.

Je ne sais pas pourquoi le plugin n'arrive pas à s'installer.

Solution possible à ton problème : installer Ubuntu >= Ubuntu 20.10

Il me semble que tu as installé hplip mais pas encore le plugin.
Il te reste à faire :

hp-plugin -i

Et redémarrer l'imprimante.

Edit: J'ai posté en même temps que Grigouille.
En VM, je viens de lancer une iso d'Ubuntu 20.04.1 et, après avoir activé les dépôts universe et multiverse, j'ai pu installer en automatique la dernière version d'HPLIP et ensuite le plugin.
Tout s'est bien passé

j'ai installé le plugin selon cette méthode puis redémarré l'ordi.
Ensuite apres un premier essai ça n'a pas marché, mais apres 1 ou 2 essais tout fonctionne... j'ai pas tout compris.
ou bout du compte l'imprimante et le scanner marchent bien.
je vais mettre un résolu à mon post meme si je sens que le résultat est instable.

Vu au #32 :

HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 3.22.2)
Plugin Installer ver. 3.0

Commence par réessayer la commande hp-plugin -i, et si ça ne fonctionne pas :
Sous toute réserve, si tu as installé manuellement la dernière version de hplip via l'archive hplip-3.22.2.run, il se pourrait bien que tu aies à faire de même pour l'installation du greffon, en récupérant son archive hplip-3.22.2-plugin.run; c'est au bas de la page, clic de droite sur le fichier .run correspondant et faire : «Enregistrer la cible du lien sous...».
Ensuite, ça devrait s'installer de la même façon que pour hplip-3.22.2.run ?

Bonjour,
Après avoir fait les commandes suivantes:

hp-setup -ir

et

sudo apt-get remove ippusbxd

J'ai réinstallé en suivant les tutos du 8
Même chose pour l'installation du plugin (installation via l'archive) et le scanner et l'imprimante fonctionne !!
Un grand merci pour votre aide, vous êtes au top !

Pour information j'avais aussi un problème avec le scanner HP et le logiciel simple scan. Si je définit de scanner une image avec simple scan ça plante mais si je choisis du texte dans simple scan ça fonctionne
