RESOLU - HP ENVY 7640 non détectée sur réseau
Bonjour, j'ai rencontré le même problème que beaucoup pour imprimer sur une HP Envy, et ai donc téléchargé une "bonne" version de HPLIP comme expliqué dans le fil consacré à ce sujet. Lorsque je l'installe, je rencontre un problème pour installer le paquet python pyqt5, le script d'installation n'arrive pas à le trouver. La commande qui échoue est 'sudo apt-get install python-pyqt5', or "mon" pyqt5 est dans un répertoire qui s'appelle python3. Est-ce que le problème vient de là, et si oui comment le résoudre? .... et... si non, comment le résoudre 
?

Je suppose que tu utilises Ubuntu 20.04.
Il faut faire une installation "custom".
Il suffit de lire la doc hplip

Merci beaucoup pour ces indications @gribouille. Mon premier problème est débloqué grâce à la commande qui permet de "forcer" python 3. Du coup j'arrive à installer la dernière version de hplip. Mais lors qu'en fin d'install j'en suis à la phase "PRINTER SETUP", je choisis l'option réseau puisque je suis reliée à l'imprimante par un cable ethernet + freebox et là j'obtiens ce message :
Searching... (bus=net, timeout=5, ttl=4, search=(None) desc=0, method=slp)

Je ne comprends pas, car quand je passe par "paramètres/imprimantes" sur ubuntu, l'ordi trouve bien l'imprimante. Mais ne trouve pas de driver.
Bref, je suis vraiment paumée, et en plus je n'y connais rien.
Je ne sais pas si vous pourrez m'aider, mais en tout cas merci par avance....

En fait à ce stade c'était normal puisque je n'arrivais pas à installer hplip

http://hplipopensource.com/node/374 Je n'ai pas pu aller visiter le lien mentionné en fin de message, la page n'existe pas. Et par ailleurs je ne comprends pas que hplip ne détecte pas l'imprimante, alors qu'en passant par "Paramètres" dans Ubuntu je la trouve. c'est précisément ça mon problème....

Bonjour, oui j'avais fait la vérif dans ce tableau de la doc hplip : la mienne est une HP ENVY 7640, OK avec les versions hplip postérieures à 3.14, donc ya de la marge...
Une précision peut-être importante : cette imprimante a toujours fonctionné sans problème depuis mon ordi durant 4 ans, en fait ça ne marche plus depuis certaines mises à jour d'Ubuntu qui doivent remonter à mai-juin

Il n'y a pas eu de changement d'imprimante : c'est toujours la même, mais qui n'est plus utilisable depuis cet ordi depuis une certaine mise à jour Ubuntu (on a un autre PC sous windows qui y accède sans pb). Lorsque j'imprime, cela déclenche bien une tâche d'impression, mais qui ne s'accomplit jamais : rien ne se déclenche.

Bon la plupart du temps ces infos sont données ,,,, mais des fois ... non ... c'est pour cela je précise.
Complète le titre, avec l'imprimante concernée.
