[Résolu] HP Deskjet 2710 non reconnue sous Xubuntu

Bonjour,
Message de demande d'aide relativement urgent au sujet d'une imprimante HP Deskjet 2710 qui, sur un ordinateur tournant sous Windows 7, fonctionnait parfaitement (impression et scan), mais depuis l'installation de Xubuntu 20.04, impossible de l'installer.
Hp-setup ne la voit pas sur le ou les ports USB.
Je ne sais comment l'installer en ajoutant une "nouvelle imprimante".
Merci pour votre aide.

L'imprimante est récente, appartenant à des "têtes blanches" qui ne connaissent rien à l'informatique ou à ce genre d'appareil mais écrivent leurs mémoires, donc veulent imprimer.
Je pensais que les dernières versions Xubuntu étaient assez évoluées et l'imprimante fait partie de la liste des matériels HP supportés.
J'ai essayé de suivre la doc hplip du wiki Ubuntu sans succès.
Edit : J'ouvre dans le Terminal la fenêtre de configuration d'ajout d'imprimante commande system-config-printer, l'imprimante est reconnue et ajoutée automatiquement, je demande un test d'impression, rien ne se passe, le test reste dans la file d'attente et l'imprimante est déclarée "inactive"
Je profite du w-e de Pâques en ayant rapporté l'ordinateur et l'imprimante chez moi pour essayer de l'installer.

D'accord, mes excuses les plus plates, je ne me rappelais plus ces règles.

@grigouille, je ne comprends pas ta réponse, je précise avoir été vérifier qu'elle faisait partie des imprimantes dans la liste, j'ai aussi vérifié la version minimale du pilote hplip et ses conditions d'usage sur HP Developper. Si j'ai ramené leur ordinateur (plus imprimante, clavier, souris) chez moi (47 km aller), c'est parce que j'ai essayé les divers tutoriels pour Ubuntu et Debian ou Mint sans succès.

avec cela on saura pas mal de chose concernant ton système et son architecture c'est utile pour proposer des pilotes

Pas évident de manipuler avec leur ordinateur, mais j'y arrive.
NOTA : au moment ou j'ai passé la première commande dans le terminal, l'imprimante a imprimé une page de test... Ets-ce qu'elle se serait mise à jour en arrière plan, je n'ose y croire.
J'ai redemandé une page de test, elle l'a exécuté !
En vérifiant dans les propriétés, je peux voir le niveau d'encre et un message d'information me disant : "Imprimante "Deskjet_2700_series_CN0BF4A156_" : "wifi-not-configured-report".

J'ai lu (et relu) cette doc la semaine dernière, j'étais chez eux lors de l'installation de Xubuntu, mais je n'y arrivais pas, peut-être que je passais une commande avant une autre ?
Pour la dernière version HPLIP 3.20.5, dois-je l'installer, suivre ce tutoriel ?

Je viens de redémarrer l'ordinateur, l'imprimante n'existe plus alors que je l'avais déclaré par défaut.
Dois-je installer la dernière version HPLIP ?

Re...
Redémarrage de l'ordinateur après installation de la dernière version de HPLIP, l'imprimante semble reconnue (il y a eu quelques hésitations) et je peux imprimer, mais j'ai un doute car en ouvrant HP Device Manager, j'ai une erreur de communication (5012). L'imprimante est notée d'une croix rouge.

La numérisation via le Numérisateur de documents ne fonctionne pas, aucun périphérique.

Je cherche...

Après ma réponse #15 au dessus, je n'ai rien fait de plus que d'éteindre ordinateur et imprimante pour déjeuner.
Au retour, démarrage ordi et imprimante, contrôle de la présence de l'imprimante dans le panneau des imprimantes, test d'impression à la volée, parfait. test de scan parfait.
Je n'ai rien fait de plus et ne comprends pas les mystères d'installation HP (que j'ai déjà expérimenté avec  mon imprimante perso, une LaserJet M283.
J'ai recommencé plusieurs fois cette manip, d'éteindre et redémarrer, c'est résolu, mais ne me demandez pas pourquoi, et c'est ce qui me gêne.
Nez en moins, j'aimerais vous remercier tous les deux chaleureusement d'avoir répondu présent à l'appel d'aide, Xubu pour m'avoir fait faire les tests de terminal pour éclaircir la situation et la réponse #10 (qui je crois a solutionné le problème, et grigouille pour avoir pointé du doigt la version de HPLIP.

Bonjour,
Pour info, incidemment, je viens d'avoir le même problème avec mon imprimante HP MFP M283 qui fonctionnait parfaitement suite à ce  fil d'aide et à celui-ci.
J'ai dû désinstaller et réinstaller totalement.
Serait-ce un problème de mise à jour de Xubuntu ou Ubuntu qui ne colle pas avec la mise à jour HP ?
Et il n'y a pas de mise à jour automatique des pilotes par Ubuntu.
