Imprimante non reconnue après changement d'ordinateur
Bonjour à tous,
Suite à une panne mécanique définitive de mon ordi j’ai du en changer. Étant totalement incompétant , sur conseil d’amis j’ai acheté un DELL G15 5510 avec UBUNTU préinstallé. RAS pour l’ordi mais, surprise : il ne reconnaît pas mon imprimante qui fonctionnait bien (et qui fait toujours des photocopies). Il s’agit d’un modèle ancien EPSON DX 8450, connexion par cable USB.
Comme vous sans doute, je suis contre l’obsolescence programmée et pour les économies.
Pouvez-vous m’aider ?

ton imprimante est t'elle reconnue dans les paramètres
(je viens de voir qu'il y a 2 usb.2 a l'arrière )

l'imprimante est branché et allumé???
avant d'aller voir dans paramètres
normalement les drivers doivent être présentes

Je pense qu'il faudrait d’abord installer pipslite. Les informations google ne sont pas très claires et Epson ne fournit pas de driver linux pour ce modèle

Cela parait bête, mais si dans le titre la marque et le modèle de l'imprimante pouvait être écrit cela serait déjà super utile pour les aidants, qui peuvent déjà se faire une première idée des pilotes qu'il te faut et de la procédure qu'il te faudra suivre pour les installer au besoin.

sudo apt purge ~c
comme expliqué à la machine à café.
4) Avais-tu purgé le paquet ippusbxd ?
