[Réglé] Disque SSD PNY non modifiable.

Bonjour,
Il m'est impossible de modifier ou de formater un disque SSD PNY 250 Gig.
Je ne rencontre aucun message d'erreur genre "disque protégé en écriture"
Bien qu'il ne s'agisse pas d'une protection en écriture, j'ai lancé les différents outils de réparation avec Windows ou Linux (Diskpart Gparted).
Je peux écrire, faire des MAJ ou même formater le disque.
Le problème, c'est que toutes les modifications ont disparu au reboot du PC - retour au point de départ.
On dirait que le système lance un bon vieux Unformat ou Undelete de la période du MSDOS-5.
Bien sûr, ça fait un petit moment que j'ai investi 30€ dans un nouveau ssd.
Je voudrais juste avoir un avis sur la question avant de détruire et jeter ce disque.

Bonjour.
Identifions le disque avec ses partitions.

lsblk -fe7

Installe l'application smartmontools
et donne l'état du disque ( Chapitre trois).

je vois que ce disque dispose de 4 partitions. Dont certaines en NTFS alors que tu ne disposes pas de windows.
A titre d'essai, supprime les quatres partitions et fabrique une seule partition au format EXT4 puis débranche le disque, rebranche-le et redonne le retour de la commande lsblk -fe7
Puis tu rebootes et tu redonnes de nouveau le contenu de cette commande.
On verra alors si tu as de nouveau quatre partitions ou une seule.
Dis aussi avec quelle application tu fais ces actions.

Bonsoir geole,
1) Formatage du disque avec Gparted/Ubuntu22 ne fonctionne pas.
2) MiniTool Wizard FreeWare pour W10. J'ai installé ce truc sur mon dualboot W10.
J'ai lancé la suppression des partitions et au bout de 3heures, il en est à peine à 30%.
Je vais le laisser finir tout seul et aller me coucher. merci et à demain.

1) Merci de faire des captures d'écran de gparted et de les publier dans un site partage et de donner le lien et s'il indique un message d'erreur, merci de le publier.chapitre sept.

Bonjour , plutot que de vouloir supprimer les partitions , il est peut etre preferable de creer une nouvelle table de partitions , ca sera certainement plus rapide et propre .


Il faudrait aussi verifier si le firmware de ce disque est bien en derniere version .


Dommage qu ' on ait pas le rapport smartctl , ca donnerait dejà beaucoup d' informations qui pourrait faire avancer la discussion .

d' apres une rapide recherche sur le net , le probleme est assez frequent .

la solution consiste a mettre le firmware à jour , ca effacera les données présentes sur le disque .


retour COMPLET et utilisable de commande
MSI Z490A-pro , i7 10700 , 32 GB RAM .

cliquer sur SATA SSD TOOLBOX AND FIRMWARE UPDATER
pour télécharger le logiciel qui convient.
Mais je crains qu'il faille un windows.

J'ai passé le programme "firmware updater" à partir de W10 sur mon disque PNY et tout a été effacé.
Sauf que tout W8 et ses données sont réapparus après le reboot.
Je pense que la prochaine étape c'est le coulage dans une chape de béton.

Il n'est pas obligé  qu'une mise à jour de firmware supprime les données. Elle ne devrait même jamais les supprimer.
Même plus, il n'est pas obligé qu'une suppression de partition et recréation de partition à l'identique fasse disparaître les données.
Tu devrais redonner un rapport smartctl

(Je ne fais que passer). Maintenant que la mise à jour du micrologiciel est faite, ne serait-il pas intéressant d'essayer parted ou gdisk pour détruire et recréer les tables de partitions ?

Rectificatif : le logiciel PNY-Toolbox sous W10 ne peut pas faire la MAJ car il ne trouve pas (dit-il) l'update.
Par contre les options optimization et SecureErase fonctionnent bien sans signaler d'erreurs.
Après reboot on revient à la case départ.

Si la mise à jour du firmware ne s'est pas faite, soit tu demandes au fabriquant le pourquoi, soit tu  changes de fournisseur.
Je crois que tu es parti sur la seconde solution.

le soucis , c ' est qu ' il ne devrait pas apparraitre :
" Device Model:     SATAFIRM   S11 " mais le vrai modele de ton disque a la place .

il y a des vidéos sur le net qui montre comment faire ( attention a ce que ca corresponde bien au modele de ton disque lorsque tu choisis le fichier du firmware du disque ) , perso , je n ' ai jamais vu de tel cas . Mais y en a pléthore ...
Si tu veux recuperer ce disque , je t ' invite a te pencher serieusement sur les vidéos qui montrent comment faire , c' est la seule maniere à mon avis .

Bonsoir,

Avec gdisk, j'ai supprimé les 4 partitions du SSD.
Au reboot du PC elles sont revenues.
Donc j'arrête les frais.
Voir le traitement prévu au #11.
