[Résolu] Recto Verso non disponible / ET-2710 / MFC-1910W
Résolution : En fait, mes imprimantes ne proposent pas du vrai R/V sur windows, juste une impression différée via une fenêtre de dialogue qui invite à retourner les pages et relance l'impression des pages manquantes.
Bonjour à tous,
Depuis une semaine j'ai pris à bras le corps un projet : migrer mon PC complètement vers ubuntu et virer windows
Je m'arrache les cheveux sur un problème stupide : imprimer en recto verso
J'ai deux imprimantes connectées en WIFI à la maison :
- Epson Eco tank 2710
- Brother MFC-1910W
Pour les deux imprimantes, sur ma session windows, j'imprime en R/V sans aucun problème
Pour les deux imprimantes, sur ubuntu, niet. Aucune des deux ne me permets l'impression R/V
> ni dans les options de l'imprimante du menu
> ni dans le menu de cups
> ni dans le logiciel (writer / PDF)
Je soupçonne donc que j'ai un problème de pilotes mais je ne trouve pas, car l'impression et le scan fonctionnent bien sur les 2 !

Bref, j'avoue que je ne comprends pas bien pourquoi mon impression R/V ne marche pas

Bonjour,
Dans les interfaces graphiques, l'item recto/verso n'existe pas ou il n'est pas activé ?
Piège simple : bien choisir "Plain duplex paper" comme type de papier pour que le recto/verso soit disponible dans les propriétés de l'imprimante. Il faut souvent refermer puis ouvrir à nouveau les réglages.
Dans l'interface CUPS à http://localhost:631/admin en choisissant Imprimantes puis Administration, on peut aussi imposer le mode recto/verso habituellement.

Quand je choisis le type de papier, je n'ai pas de mention Duplex ni pour l'une ni pour l'autre
Quant à Cups, je retrouve exactement les mêmes options que dans le réglage de l'imprimante.
Dans les interfaces graphiques, l'option r/v est grisée et marquée non disponible voire n'existe pas (dépendant du logiciel utilisé pour tenter d'imprimer)

Pour purger les résidus de configuration marqués "rc" :
sudo apt purge ~ccomme expliqué à la machine à café et rajouté dans ce message
Si tu vois une piste dans > [Résolu] dcp-j562dw - imprimer en recto-verso
Conseils pour les nouveaux demandeurs et pas qu'eux

J'ai procédé à la purge,
Par contre, le fil cité ne m'apporte rien, même dans le gestionnaire de CUPS je ne peux pas choisir recto verso, je n'ai pas les options

Pour la brother télécharger le fichier linux-brprinter-installer-2.2.4-1.gz
décompresser le fichier, le rendre exécutable et l'exécuter. renseigner l’imprimante "MFC-1910W" et répondre aux question Y ou N et uri de l'imprimante. Comme je n'ai pas cette imprimante je ne peux pas essayer.

Je te laisse essayer. Pour moi c'est difficile sans cette imprimante. J'ai jeté un coup d’œil vite fait dans les propriétés de l'imprimante et je n'ai pas vu d'option recto/verso. Après, il faut peut être une imprimante active pour voir ce paramètre
sinon :
dans CUPS à l'adresse http://localhost:631/admin
cliquer sur boite de dialogue "Gérer les imprimantes"
cliquer sur l'imprimante en question
Dans le menu déroulant Administration choisir "Définir les options de l'imprimante"
cliquer sur le menu Page Setup
Impression recto/verso du menu déroulant choisir les otions proposées autre que "Désactivé"

Je réponds dans l'ordre anti chronologique :
Concernant CUPS, j'ai bien tenté de suivre les instructions, mais sur aucune des imprimantes je n'ai "PAGE SETUP"
Pour les deux imprimantes, je n'ai que les options proposées dans ma capture quelques messages au dessus.
Je te confirme aussi que les deux imprimantes gèrent le recto verso, puisque sur windows, je n'ai pas de problèmes. Je lance l'impression en choisissant R/V, l'imprimante sort la première page et ensuite, une fenêtre apparait, me demandant de replacer la feuille, et je clique sur OK pour relancer la deuxième page.
J'ai téléchargé les paquets pour la EPSON, mais question stupide :
1. Pour les lancer, je le fais en ligne de commande ou clic droit + installation de l'application ? Si ligne de commande, sachant que je débute, un petit coup de pouce ?
2. Avant de le faire, ne faudrait-il pas tout nettoyer avant ce qu'il y a d'installé ?
Autre question accessoire, j'ai l'habitude de windows qui demande de reboot régulièrement sur ce genre d'installations, mais j'ai été surpris que Linux ne le demande pas, c'est donc inutile ou il faut y penser spontanément ?

Ce que tu décris n’est pas du vrai recto verso, c’est un paliatif aux machines qui n’en ont pas. Un vrai recto/verso n’a pas de manipulation à faire sur la page c’est automatique.
Tu peux pallier à ce problème en imprimant manuellement page par page et en replaçant la première impression dans le bac comme tu le fais sur windows . Tu n’auras juste pas de fenêtre d’avertissements

Ah, effectivement, c'est logique, il me fait imprimer les pages impaires, puis les paires ou l'inverse du coup en une seule impression au lieu de devoir relancer.

Autre question accessoire, j'ai l'habitude de windows qui demande de reboot régulièrement sur ce genre d'installations, mais j'ai été surpris que Linux ne le demande pas, c'est donc inutile ou il faut y penser spontanément ?
sur linux tu n’es souvent pas obligé de rebooter lorsque tu ajoutes un paquet et ses dépendances, mais il se peut qu’un reboot soit nécessaire si l’installation fait appel à des dépendances qui sont au cœur du fonctionnement de la machine.
