pour voir si c'est Wayland ou x11.

Les Documentations xorg et wayland.

Pour purger les résidus de configuration marqués "rc" : 

sudo apt purge ~c

non, pour moi il ne manque rien, ce site s'affiche comme ça et on voit ta barre de raccourcis qui prend tout l'écran.

C'est quand même dommage d'utiliser une si basse résolution sur un écran qui peut afficher 1600x900.
tu devrais essayer 1440x810 ou 1400x900 et grossir la police par défaut, dans Préférences->Apparence, onglet Polices, tu choisis la taille 10 au lieu de 9.
