HP ProBook_Boot device not found Hard Disk (3F0) ...
Bonjour a tous,
J`ai installé Xubuntu LTS 24.04 sur un HP ProBook 4540s et supprimé windows (PC de notre repair café)
Mauvaise surprise au démarrage, message d`erreur désigné dans le sujet....
J`ai vérifier les réglages du BIOS, et testé toute les possibilités sans pouvoir corriger le problème !
Je pense qu`il faut passer par le "Boot-info", pour essayer de trouver une solution...

Je trouve les portables HP de plus en plus chiant à faire accepter une distribution Linux.
Essaye de voir le paramètre TPM et secure boot qu'ils soient bien sur disabled.
Une fois, j'ai eu aussi le disque dur monté en raid 1 dans le bios

je vais effectivement vérifier ca avant de tenter autre chose...
J'ai déja remplacé le DD ... mais ca ne change rien !!
Je partage ton avis, certain PC et surtout les portables HP posent souvent des problèmes...

Donc installation en legacy sur un disque gpt.
Tu devrais tenter une installation EFI. Ou une réparation EFI.

.... quelques compléments sur le contenu du BIOS:
Il y a trois mode qui sont les suivants
> Ancien (> Legacy)
> UEFI Hybride (avec CSM)
> UEFI Natif (sans CSM)
La Liste courte des priorités (quelque soit le Mode UEFI sélectionné)
> Unité optique (UEFI)
> Gestionnaire de démarrage du SE
> Notebook Ethernet (UEFI)
Donc que 3x choix possibles....

C’est normal qu’il ne soit pas dans la liste car il ne contient pas encore une partition de boot EFI
Positionne sur ce mode EFI Natif (sans CSM)

J'ai positionné sur le mode EFI Natif (sans CSM) mais pas moyen de booter sur Live-USB !
Du coup j'ai positionné en EFI Hybride (avec CSM) > lancer l'install dans ce Mode, mais toujours le mème résultat "Boot device not found hard Disk (3F0)"

.... en position "EFI Natif (sans CSM)" les seuls choix possibles sont :

J'ai testé "OS Boot Manager" et "Boot From EFI File" mais rien n'aboutit

Merci pour le collage du "Bios-info" suite à la dernière install en Mode UEFI Hybride (car ne boot pas sur Live-USB en Mode UEFI Natif....)
Quelle galère cette install sur ce HP ..... jusqu'à présent je n'ai jamais passé autant de temps pour tenter de faire fonctionner xubuntu

.... en position "EFI Natif (sans CSM)" les seuls choix possibles sont :
> OS Boot Manager
> Optical .... (UEFI)
> Notebook Ethernet (UEFI)
> Boot From EFI File
J'ai testé "OS Boot Manager" et "Boot From EFI File" mais rien n'aboutit
Et que propose le quatrième choix?

J'ai positionné sur le mode EFI Natif (sans CSM) mais pas moyen de booter sur Live-USB !
Comment as-tu créé ta clé USB ?
Ventoy ?
Si c'est le cas, assure-toi bien d'avoir une partition GPT (Options/Type de partitions)
