Grub ( disquette de boot)
Sous Dapper la disquette de boot ne semble pas marcher.
Cela me met erreur à la ligne 15.j'ai regardé mon fichier boot/grub/ menu.lst, je ne trouve pas d'erreur.
Au demarrage avec la disquette de boot il y a donc cette erreur.Par contre je peux redemarrer en mode recovery puis startx.
je ne pense pas que cela vient de la disquette car j'en ai utilisé 2 différentes.
Autre chose qui m'étonne :
Au démarrage j'ai sur l'écran de démarage
2.6.12-10-386
2.6.12-10-386 ( recovery)
2.6.15-19-386
2.6.15-19-386(recovery)
Normallement le kernel 2.6.15-19-386 devrait se trouver en 1er, à priori.
Eventuellement je pourrais changer la fonction défaut: le chiffre mais ce qui me gène surtout c'est de ne pouvoir faire la disquette de boot.

Pour l'erreur, le menu.lst que tu reproduis est celui de la disquette ou de la partition ?
Après avoir monté la disquette, pourrais-tu faire un :
cat -n /ou_est_monté/boot/grub/menu.lst pour avoir le fichier avec les numéros de lignes.
C'est bien erreur sur ligne 15 ?
tu as deux distributions ? la disquette a été faite depuis le menu.lst actif depuis le mbr ? d'ou problème aussi d'emplacement des choix.

voila ce que j'ai fait.C'est la 1ere fois d'ou je ne sais si c'est bon
mount /media/floppy
puis
cat -n /dev/fd0
Cela m'a mis plein de taches noires illisibles à la lecture de la disquette puis ceci

J'ai fait ma disquette à partir de Dapper en me servant du wiki comme je le faisais avec Breezy

pour le menu.lst , c'est celui de l'ordi sous Dapper

Ps: il est possible que cela se mélange les pattes entre breezy et Dapper ou c'est moi !

sudo umount /dev/fd0
sudo mount /dev/fd0 /media/floppy0
cat -n /media/floppy0/boot/grub/menu.lst
Ces commandes vont démonter la disquette et la remonter dans /media/floppy0 puis cat va lire dans /media/floppy0 le fichier menu.lst
Sur le menu.lst de dapper le kernel 2.6.15 est avant le kernel 2.6.12, par contre sur le menu.lst de brezzy il doit y avoir uniquement le 2.6.12.
Tu as bien fait ta disquette de boot alors que tu avais démarré ta machine avec la dapper ?

Merci de l'aide mais je viens de recommencer avec la disquette de boot et en fait j'ai lu trop vite
cela me met error 15 file no found ce que je traduirais par erreur 15 dossier non trouvé

Si dapper est bien sur hda10 et démarre normalement lorsque le boot se fait depuis le mbr ça devrait fonctionner.
Le fichier device.map est bien présent sur la disquette ?

cela demarre avec la disquette en mode recovery sous Dapper et idem sous breezy mais pas en mode normal.
Dapper est bien sous hda10
Ne te prends pas le choux , ce n'est pas bien grave.Le principal est que je puisse demarrer en mode recovery puis startx au cas ou il y aurait un pb

....Le principal est que je puisse demarrer en mode recovery puis startx au cas ou il y aurait un pb...
startx n'est pas la bonne méthode. En single tu es root.
Dans ce cas, si tu veux continuer le processus et lancer l'interface praphique pour te loguer en user il est préférable de passer la commande :
init 2
Bien sûr le mode single s'utilise surtout lorsqu'il y a un problème et que l'user ne peut se loguer ou démarrer l'interface.
