Problème connexion wifi - Ubuntu 8.10

Bonjour tout le monde !

Voilà, mon frère a reçu un nouvel ordinateur portable acheté en ligne sur i-ventive, et il y a quelques soucis avec le wifi. Je ne connais pas bien la version 0.7.0 de Network Manager et je n'arrive pas à lui configurer correctement la connexion wifi.

En Ethernet, il n'y a pas de soucis, c'est avec cette connexion que je me connecte à distance avec Gitso pour prendre la main sur sa machine.

Si l'un d'entre vous pouvait m'aider, ça serait sympa.

Bonsoir,

Pour que network-manager fasse correctement son travail, il lui faut impérativement un fichier /etc/network/interfaces minimaliste, or dans ton fichier tu configure l'interfaces wifi, ca risque pas de fonctionner.

Remet a plat le fichier interfaces avec cette commande :

echo -e 'auto lo\niface lo inet loopback\n' | sudo tee /etc/network/interfaces

Redémarre le pc pour etre tranquille (on peut éviter le reboot et faire un "sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart", attendre 15 decondes et configurer le wifi via network manager, mais cela peut dans certain cas ne pas fonctioner, pour cela que je préfère rebooter)

Apres le reboot, il faut se servir uniquement de network manager pour configurer le wifi. Pratiquement tous les autres outils de configuration du reseau modifie eux-meme le fichier interfaces rendant network manager inopérant, donc attention a cela)


Tombé dans l'informatique étant petit, j'en ai fait mon métier. Utilisateur d'Ubuntu depuis novembre 2006, actuellement sous 20.04 x64 (Que d'évolution
depuis Dapper Drake ! Ça rajeunit pas ^^^).
