xfdesktop a du mal à démarrer
Salut tout le monde,
Depuis quelques temps j'ai un problème à chaque ouverture de session. xfdesktop a un mal fou à démarrer, me prend toutes les ressources proc disponible et pendant ce temps la le PC rame alors que le disque gratte comme un fou.
Résolu à en savoir un peu plus je suis tombé sur le fichier .xsession-errors qui semble être plein de message d'erreur mais dont je n'ai pas trop d'idée quand à la signification.
Si quelqu'un pouvait m'aider à décortiquer tout ça

Yes ! j'ai la même...
Mais pas de solutions (par contre on se sent moins seul)
Si tu as trouvé n'hésite pas à poster ta réponse.
Pour indication moi c'est arrivé depuis que j'ai essayé de faire du double écran (qui ramait praticulièrement d'ailleurs dès que je configurait l'écran virtuel à plus de 1280x1280, mon fps à glxgears était au moins divisé par 10...). J'ai eu beau tout remettre à la configuration d'avant, ben ça marchait mieux, mais après un temps de démarrage de XFCE qui restait toujours long.
En fait le problème c'est qu'il lance de multiples occurences de xfdesktop... (j'en ai 7, mais j'ai beau les tuer, et enregistrer la session, à la suivante j'en ai toujours 7 !)
Autre chose, mon ventilo tourne à fond tout le temps, et X prend plus de 30% du CPU, est-ce normal ?

Bon voilà j'ai réussi à tout faire revenir, en fait ça s'empirait à chaque redémarrage...
La solution a été de virer tous les fichiers dans $HOME/.cache/session
Et tout est revenu dans l'ordre !

Je remonte pas mal le topic mais il m'est arrivé la même mésaventure, dans des proportions beaucoup plus handicapantes : mon Aspire One plantait totalement au démarrage, m'obligeant à basculer sur un autre terminal (Ctrl+Alt+F1) puis de jouer du "killall xfdesktop" une bonne cinquantaine de fois...
Il est probable que cela ait quelque chose à voir avec le double-écran : j'avais aussi fait des tests de ce style avant de rencontrer le problème.
En tout cas, je viens d'appliquer la solution, d'amic, en espérant que ça marche... je vous tiens au courant. Ce serait pas mal de mettre le doit sur la source de ce désagrément qui peut s'avérer très handicapant !
EDIT : eh ben non, j'ai toujours une armée d'xfdesktop qui se lancent au démarrage... Voici mon fichier .xsessions-error, si cela peut aider : http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/198871/
Au passage, un xfwm4 --replace m'a donné ceci :

+ les symptomes exacts du plantage, afin que le développeur de xfwm4 puisse comprendre dans quelles circonstances ça se produit.
Hell Pé, sinon, le chemin exact est $HOME/.cache/sessions et non pas session. Es-tu sûr que sessions est vide ?
Si oui, qu'y a-t-il dans ~/.config/autostart/ et à quoi ressemble ~/.initrc (s'il existe) ?
