GRUB et splashimages

Salut !

Je suis un nouveau dans le monde de linux, mais je commence à me dépatouiller
A chaque fois que je lance Kubuntu, je me demande pourquoi j'ai pas quitté Windows plus tot ?

Enfin bref, le truc qui me tracasse :
j'ai voulu ajouter une image de fond à GRUB. J'ai donc suivi le tuto qui correspond, mais ça marche pô

En fait, si je tente un update-grub, j'ai droit à la ligne :

Searching for splash image... none found, skipping...

Donc, j'ai tenter une modif sans update-grub, resultat : ecran noir à la place de grub, mais ubuntu demarre qd meme au bout des 10sec (ouf)

J'ai beau regarder sur internet, j'ai l'impression que mon fichier est bon !
En fait, c'est celui d'origine, avec une ligne supplémentaire : la splashimage...

Autre chose, si je tape exactement la meme ligne dans la console de grub (au boot), le chargement et l'affichage sont ok !
(et cette fois ci, je peux pas dire, c'est la faute à Windoze)

decommente la ligne (c a d enlève le #):

et ça devrait etre bon

Merci pr la reponse, je viens de trouver !
En fait, il fallait mettre "splashimage=..." juste après "timeout 10"
Le hiddenmenu gène plus qu'autre chose par contre : seul l'arrière plan du texte "Appuyer sur ECHAP..." est peint, le reste est noir

Quand je repasse hiddenmenu en commenté, ça marche parfaitement.

Bonjour,

au menu grub, j'ai toujours le texte, sous le cadre de sélection des os, qui est en bas de l'écran : en plein sur le bas des images splash ; alors que les images grub téléchargeables sur le net (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/searc … licence=99 ou http://www.schultz-net.dk/grub.html) ont une cadre plus petit.
Quelqu'un a-t-il le même problème ? Je n'ai trouvé aucune option dans menu.lst pour régler ça. Est-ce fixé lors de la compilation ?
