problème de connection wifi [résolu]

Bonjour
Je n'arrive pas à détecter les connections wifi avec un portable Samsung R719, SE ubuntu. Impossible également de lancer le "Networkj Manager".

Portable récent, mais version d'Ubuntu ancienne : tu as absolument besoin de la 8.04 ?

Je suis converti depuis peu à Ubuntu. J'ai téléchargé ce que je pensais être la dernière version LTS, car je croyait que ce serait ce qu'il y a de plus simple et de plus stable...
Tu penses qu'avec une version plus récente je n'aurais pas de problème de connection ? Il y a pourtant des version "anciennes" (moins de 2 an) d'Ubuntu qui permettent de se connecter ????

La version LTS n'est pas plus simple ou plus stable, elle garantit juste des mises à jour pendant 3 à 5 ans (suivant le type de mise à jour) au lieu de 18 mois.

Donc non, plus c'est récent, et moins tu auras de problème avec du matériel qui l'est aussi

"Soyons-fous", la 9.10 beta, qui passera en finale au fil des mises à jour d'ici à la fin du mois

Je viens d'installer ubuntu 9.04 « Jaunty Jackalope ». Toujours ce même problème : pas de wifi. Avez-vous une idée ?

Installer le paquet linux-backports-modules-jaunty, un reboot, et ça devrait être bon

OK, c'est quasiment bon : détection du réseau, icône du wifi (déjà, c'est une révolution)... Encore un petit soucis pour entrer la clef WAP. Lorsque je rentre le code, ça tourne, ça tourne, et finalement pas de connection. Lorsque je rentre de nouveau ma clef, dans l'espace dédié il y a une clef, mais ce n'est pas celle que je viens de rentrer !
Mais ce n'est plus un problème matériel alors je vais essayer de trouver la solution ailleurs sur le forum. Je mettrai [résolu] lorsque tout sera fini.

Fin de l'histoire : il suffisait d'essayer un réseau wifi ailleurs que chez moi, et ça marche sans problème. Le soucis vient donc de la configuration de la box.
