pas de wifi sur karmic

Salut tous,

Manifestement je ne suis pas le seul à ne pas avoir de wifi avec karmic koala...
Mais n'ayant pas trouvé de réponse adéquate je relance le sujet...

Après avoir installé wicd j'ai juste pu constater qu'il y avait un soucis pour trouver l'adresse IP.

Je ne connais pas grand'chose au sujet, mais mon impression est qu'il n'arrive pas à voir ma carte wifi (emea dell 1510 802.11 a/b/g/n)...

comme lspci l'indique ta carte wifi est en fait une

En faisant une recherche  tu devrais trouver ton bonheur

Oui, j'ai fini par comprendre ça en comparant à d'autres threads. Du coup j'ai cherché le driver qui correpond (broadcom STA), mais il était déjà activé.
Je l'ai désactivé/réactivé, histoire de, aucun changement.

est antérieur à karmic koala, du coup je me dis qu'il est juste pas compatible et il faudrait alors attendre l'update.
Et du coup revenir à Jaunty...
Mais je veux bien des avis de vrais linuxiens là-dessus avant de désinstaller.

C'est quand même frustrant de se taper des heures sur les forum pour essayer de résoudre un problème qui n'a quand même pas l'air insurmontable pour en arriver là... On comprend ceux qui préfèrent le confort mou de Windows.
