Bonjour,

Par la multitude de messages avec "problèmes".

J'avais installé Ubuntu 8.1 sans pb avec mise à jour .....sur un ancien PC
Je viens de faire un téléchargement de la 9.10 pour une nouvelle install, mais avec message d'erreur après avoir demandé une assistance............pour l'installation...avec pb RALB, j'ai commandé le CD
Dans l'attente de ce CD ..............à suivre

Aurais tu l'amabilité d'être plus clair car je n'ai pas compris et pour t'aider il faut qu'on puisse te comprendre.

Le problème de ton message, c'est que tu ne poses aucune question! Et que tu dis laisser tomber en attendant que tu aies reçu le cd commandé, donc on attend avec toi. Tu offres le café, en attendant? Parce que ça risque de prendre un moment!

Oui 6 semaines

J'ai eu aussi des soucis d'installation sur mon ordinateur portable (laptop) avec la version 9.10, problème de reconnaissances matériels et autres.

La version CD original est peut être meilleure. C'est vrai qu'à chaque fois que j'ai utilisé un CD original, je n'ai jamais eu de souci. C'est peut être une coïncidence, mais comme j'ai jamais pu avoir le CD original pour cette version, car restriction, ben j'ai pas pu le re-constater.

Tu sélectionnes le tout et tu cliques sur code, merci

en gros tu mets le CD d'ubuntu dans le lecteur
puis tu redémare l'ordi
au démarage tu "boot" sur le CD (cela dépend de ton matériel il faut souvent appuyer sur F12 pour choisir un periphérique de boot, parfois appuyer sur suppr et modifier les reglages du bios pour booter sur le cd au lieu du disque dur).
ensuite tu te retrouvera sur l'écran d'installation d'ubuntu.

si tu as déja installer windows, il faut faire la meme manip pour installer ubuntu

Bonjour amethyst,

c'est ce que je veux faire,et même installer Ubuntu sur un autre disque dur réservé. Mais le DVD n'est pas booté sur mon lecteur DVD "maître", c'est pourquoi, j'ai commandé le DVD original. Je pense qu'il y a un soucis avec ce programme téléchargé

J'avais installé la version 8.10 il y a un an sur un autre PC et mis à jour avec la version en téléchargement, vraiment sans problème AUCUN. D'ailleurs, j'ai bien envie de faire çà de nouveau

Tu as bien choisi l'option "graver une image iso" dans ton soft de gravure (et pas "disque de données") ??

Si tu as un doute regardes dans la doc de ton soft de gravure...

La DOC est tout de même très confuse...pour une installation suivant:

cité plus haut dans mes messages, je souhaite faire une install de Ubuntu sur un second disque dur, cette description ne m'inspire pas du tout !....intervenir dans le BIOS pour modif de priorité etc....c'est pas très simple tout çà !

Pas besoin d'intervenir dans le bios sauf pour mettre éventuellement le bon lecteur en "first boot device" - pour que le bios cherche un OS à la bonne place en premier lieu si tu préfères.

Tout ce que tu as à faire avant l'instal, c'est de vérifier que tu as une copie correcte de la source en comparant la somme de contrôle de ton fichier (md5sum) téléchargé avec celle d'origine fournie ici.

Tu mets le cd/dvd dans le lecteur tu rebootes la machine, t'évites de formater et de partitionner le mauvais disque et en avant Simone, c'est toi qui klaxonnes.

Edit : Ah ouais, j'avais pas vu la manœuvre "wubi" : installer un linux dans un windows comme programme... laisse tomber. Tu fais une partition à ton Linux sur un de tes disques et tu claques ton pingouin dedans.

Non, n'aies pas peur, tu ne modifieras aucun paramètres "système" si tu suis bien les instructions, et que l'on t'aides.

Linux c'est aussi ça... apprendre à utiliser son PC, et comprendre un peu mieux comment il fonctionne

Déjà, éteint/rallume le PC avec le CD dedans, on ne sait jamais, il est peut-être déjà bien configuré pour booter sur le lecteur CD...

Sinon, au démarrage de ton poste, lors-qu'apparait l'écran de boot, tu appuies sur la touche "del", ou "suppr", ou F2, ou... en fait c'est ça le plus ch*** quand on connait pas: quelle touche?! - regarde bien cet écran de boot, normalement c'est indiqué (press xxx to enter setup)

Si tu as réussi à appuyer à temps et à atteindre un menu sur fond bleu, c'est gagné, tu as fais le plus dur

Ensuite il s'agit de trouver le paramètre "first boot device", appuyer sur "entrée" et choisir CD-ROM ou DVD-ROM. Puis sur le "secondary boot device", tu déclares HDD (le disque dur.

Pour finir, tu appuies sur F10, il te demande de sauver les paramètres, tu valides en appuyant sur "entrée", ou "y".

Et ce doit être bon, ton PC redémarrera en bootant sur le CD...

Alors, n'aies craintes, ce paramètre n'a aucune incidence sur le bon fonctionnement général du système, et lors d'un prochain démarrage, s'il n'y à rien dans la baie du lecteur CD, ton PC bootera tout à fait normalement, sur la 2eme entrée: HDD

Si tu as des doutes à l'écran bleu du bios, tu appuies sur echap et ça te sortira de ce menu.

Je te remercie de ton aide, je suis relativement à l'aise avec mon (mes) PC, mais quand il faut aller bidouiller dans ses "entrailles", je n'aime pas trop...

J'avais fait une installation de 8.10, il y a plus d'un an sur un ancien PC avec choix à l'ouverture de Windows ou Ubuntu, Ubuntu installé sur un second DD, çà marchait très bien. L'ancien PC est tombé en panne, et l'un de mes enfants a laissé tombé son PC pour un MACbook qu'il ne quitte plus; je le récupère donc, voilà où j'en suis...

Je veux installer Ubuntu pour m'initier et connaître un peu ses possibilités qui sont intéressantes.

Mais quelles difficultés pour un nouveau démarrage !!!

...en finale, je me suis contenté d'installer la version 8.10 avec un CD, puis mis à jour cette dernière avec la 9.04, ce qui ne résout pas l'énigme du LOG ??? avec la 9.10
