Petit pb de kernel depuis maj difficile vers edgy

Je décris le truc dans l'ordre chronologique :

1. Allumage de l'ordi et bios --> normal
2. Grub ---> normal
3. un ou deux flash d'écran rapide
4. écran noir avec messages apparraisant progressivement, mais peu de temps (environ 20 secondes entre premier et dernier)

nb : ce n'est pas un copié/collé, il peut y avoir une erreur de frappe dans mon recopiage

5. Après ça le démarrage se fait avec les messages à l'ancienne (print blanc sur ecran noir)
6. J'arrive sur l'accueil GDM pour se logguer sans avoir eu à faire d'interaction, notamment, pas de passage en console pour lancer gdm ou x.

--> Donc, une erreur, et pas d'animation graphique durant le chargement de l'OS.

Pour éteindre, c'est même genre : l'écran flash une ou deux fois, puis messages à l'ancienne (print blanc sur ecran noir) durant le shutdown.

En espérant que ça donne plus de détails :
- "sudo dmesg -c" pour nettoyer un peu
- rédémarre ton pc
- envoie-nous le résultat de "dmesg"

Peut-être le contenu du fichier /var/log/kern.log pourrait nous donner des pistes aussi.

A ce niveau, ça me dépasse un peu. Vu qu'apparemment il est question du hdd, il s'agit s'un disque sata avec plusieurs partitions (les habituelles linux ext3 et swap, une autre en ext2 et enfin une fat avec des fichiers win). Mais rien ne tracassait sur dapper. hmm

En fait le dmesg -c avant le reboot, ce n'était pas vraiment la peine de poster le résultat. Ça sert à vider le log pour qu'après le redémarrage le résultat du "dmesg" post-reboot soit plus propre.

J'attends de tes nouvelles!

Sans grandes convictions, tu peux toujours tenter "sudo dpkg-reconfigure udev"

Pas grave, je remercie le geste, comme le résultat n'a pas une importance cruciale. J'ai un autre pc où le boot graphique d'edgy marche, et c'est tellement tendant vers la version windows, que ça me dérange pas vraiment que ça merde sur celui-ci. roll
Je fouille juste le pb par curiosité, et au cas où quelqu'un ait ce souci et prenne la peine de trouver ce post par une recherche. cool

KERNEL=="fuse", GROUP=="fuse"

J'avais fait un peu de recherche sur google mais n'ai trouvé que des pages en russe, langue que je ne maitrise pas.

Mon /etc/udev/rules.d/40-fuse.rules contient ça a présent :

KERNEL=="fuse", GROUP=="fuse", NAME="%k", MODE="0666"

Du coup, les messages :
[des chiffres] add to rule : invalid kernel operation
[des chiffres] /etc/udev/rules.d/40-fuse.rules:1'
n'apparaissent plus. smile

Ce pb semble donc correctement réglé.

Par contre le démarrage graphique plante toujours, avec la ligne :

Pas à pas, on avance dans la bonne direction.

Par curiosité il y avait quoi dans ce fichier avant que tu l'édites? Parce que moi il n'y avait ni name, ni mode. S'il n'y avait qu'un = après kernel, laisse le deuxième que tu as ajouté mais retire le deuxième de group.

pour le "ata2: disabling port" je sèche un peu... Tes disques fonctionnent quand même parfaitement?

Il y avait :

KERNEL="fuse", NAME="%k", MODE="0666"

mais cette modif a eu un effet positif, comme dit ci-dessus.

Il n'y a qu'un seul disque, et oui il marche bien, je monte correctement les différentes partitions y compris ext2 et fat.

Pour le ata2, je ne vois toujours pas. Je dirais même que ce n'est pas certain que ce soit ça l'erreur que te fais perdre le boot graphique car ça ne ressemble pas vraiment à une erreur. Ça reste bloqué un moment juste avant ou juste après l'apparition de ce message?

Le flash d'écran (plantage de boot graphique) a lieu avant l'apparition de ce message et dure environ 3 secondes grosso modo.
