quake4 plantage au demarrage sous edgy
bonjour,
je suis sous edgy avec un portable ASUS A6
- radeon 9700 mobility
- drivers libres ati
- quake3 et tux racer fonctionnent à merveille
- libsdl1.2debian et libsdl1.2debian-alsa installés
- libsage0 installé
mais impossible de lancer quake4

à voir , il te manque juste des librairies sdl , vas dans synaptique et recherche avec le mot clef sdl , regarde ce qui pourrai t'intéresser ..
en gros le but est de trouver la librairie qui te manque , je ne te garantis pas dutout que ce soit une lib SDL , mais il y a qd meme de forte chance ...
Sinon , epluche les messages qu'il t'affiche dans le terminal pour trouver ce qui manque .

nan les gars!
si votre acceleration 3D est installé, alors ils vous manque surement un .pk4!
ensuite tape ca dans la console, on sait jamais:
sudo chown -R tonnomdutilisateur .quake4
et tu joue en quelle resolution, parce que la j'ai un vieux doute...

j'ai déja libsdl1.2debian, libsdl1.2debian-alsa, libsdl-console, libsdl-glx1.2-4, libsdl-image1.2, libsdl-mixer1.2,libsdl-net1.2, libsdl-pango1, libsdl-perl et libsdl-ttf2.0-0
@depassage qui ne tente rien n'a rien

un chown sur le dossier de config .quake4 ne change rien.
je suppose que editor.cfg, Quake4Config.cfg et autoexec.cfg vont être créé au lancement du jeu. Encore faut-il qu'il se lance.
et au niveau de la résolution, ben j'ai encore rien pu régler vu que je n'ai pas encore lancé le jeu.
En tout cas quand j'essaie de le lancer il plante (juste la souris) et se met en 640*480.
ici j'ai trouvé qqn qui avait exactement le même probleme que moi.. avant de passer sous edgy
ici jviens de checker les sommes md5 des fichiers *.pk4 qui sont bonnes

ben ce qui avait fait que ça marche pour lui c'était le passage à edgy, et je suis déja sous edgy
et oui j'ai un portable mais je ne peux pas changer la résol du jeu si jpeux pas le lancer

héhéhé justement c'est pas la resolution du jeu le probleme!
tape ca dans la console:
sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
ensuite cherche dans la section screen defaultdeph.
si la valeur assossié est 16, remplace par 24
ensuite, si le jeu ne se lance toujours pas, va dans ton quakeconfig.cfg et cherche ca:
seta r_customHeight
seta r_customWidth
seta r_mode
tu met -1 a mode, a height tu met la le second membre de ta resolution (par exemple le 768 de 1024X768) et a width tu me le premier membre (1024...)
et normalement ca devrait marcher.

j'avais déja mon default en 24bits
par contre j'ai créé un mon Quake4Config.cfg qui n'existait pas
et j'ai mis ces 3 lignes:
seta r_customHeight "768"
seta r_customWidth "1024"
seta r_mode "-1"
le fait de mettre ça me fait un plantage en 800*600 au lieu de 640*480
et les messages d'erreurs sont les mêmes

ne met pas 1024x768 mais la resolution de ton portable!
et euh dans le fichier caché (dans dossier personel, ctrl+h pour les affichers) nommé .quake4 puis dans le sous repertoire q4base il y est le seul quake4config.cf normalement
un quake4config.cfg ailleurs n'est absolument pas valable.

oui oui j'avais bien compris pour le fichier conf
il n'était pas dans mon ~/.quake4/q4base donc j'l'ai créé
et le fait de changer la résolution dans Quake4Config.cfg, ben ça change rien
même en mettant la résol de mon portable
en fait ça plante (juste la souris) en la résolution que tu mets
je lache l'affaire pour l'instant

alors voila c'est déja mieux comme message
le truc c'est que j'arrive pas à comprendre pourquoi avec root j'ai cela sachant que tout les fichiers du jeu (/usr/local/games/quake4) sont en full access rwx pour mon compte user.
juste pour voir, j'ai essayé de lancer quake3 en root
et j'ai eu presque lemême message (Sys_Error: GLimp_Init() - could not load OpenGL subsystem) alors que Q3 marche nikel avec mon compte user.
donc je ne dois pas être très loin
PS @ MCPaul j'ai essayé d'installer fglrx mais j'ai laché l'affaire, pas moyen d'avoir la 3D correctement.

sinon c'est le format.
et je pense vraiment que ca vient des drivers, essaye vraiment d'installer les proprios.
ps: sur mon FTP y a plein de dossier luc: dedans, il y a les fglrx.deb

mouais avant je veux être convaincu que c'est pas qu'un simple probleme de droits
quand je le lance en root, quake3 bloque de la même façon que quake4 en root aussi (could not load OpenGL)
que dois-je faire?

bah a mon avis, vraiment, le premier truc a tester c'est de mettre les drivers les plus récents (vital avec ATi, aussi bien sous linux que sous win$)

bonjour a touse j'ai le meme probleme quake 4 ne veut pas c lancer une fenetre noir aparait avec (CPu does not support the intel streaming SIMD extensions) et yapas de message dans la fenetre ya jsute ecrit sa en haut a gauche. comment faire pour que quake 4 marche svp merci
