Scanner brother dcp j525w n'est plus détecté [Résolu]

Bonjour, j'utilise une imprimante/scanner brother dcp j525w sous ubuntu 18.04.
J'ai utilisé le scipt demonipuch pour l'installation (ça date d'il y a a quelques années). Tout fonctionnait parfaitement mais depuis peu le scanner n'est plus détecté alors que l'imprimante fonctionne.
Quelqu'un a-t-il une idée pour résoudre ce problème?

première question avant de faire quoique ce soit d’autres
pourquoi est tu resté en LTS 18.04 ? une mise à jour au minimum en LTS 20.04 ne serait pas du luxe sauf impératif contraire en sachant que la LTS 22.04 va sortir en avril mai
tu perdrais le bénéfice de la mise à jour en 22.04 à partir de la 20.04
et donc éviter une réinstallation du système en passant de 18.04 à 22.04
Cela dit vérifie dans tes paquets si tu as les 2 libusb-0.1-4:i386 et amd64 d’installée

dpkg -l | grep -i libusb

Montre :

dpkg -l | grep -i brother

et ces infos, pour le scanner > Tuto : les Informations utiles à donner lorsque j'ai un problème.

Je n'ai pas mis à jour vers 20.04 car j'ai un ordinateur pas très récent et j'ai l'impression qu'à chaque mise à jour, j'ai tout à reconfigurer (et notamment le script demonipuch)...

il te manque des fichiers donc tu vas devoir refaire le script de toutes façon
tu n‘as pas brother 4 en fin de liste dans /etc/sane.d/dll.conf
et il te manque la libusb-0.1-4:i386
pour le premier refait le script de demonipuch
fait bien attention que le script soit la version la plus récente car il a été amélioré modifié au passage à 18.04
donc le script se situe sur le premier post de demonipuch (voir dans mon profil)
pour la lib manquante (elles sont importantes pour le scan qui a souvent besoin de lib 32bits car paquet 32bits ce n’est pas forcément obligatoire mais ça aide bien

sudo apt install libusb-0.1-4:i386

reboot ton ordi et imprimante ajoute une nouvelle imprimante éventuellement avec le pilote adéquate (il peut y en avoir plusieurs)

Ps: taper un peu trop vite donc rayé les mentions inutiles

en complement :

dpkg -l ippsubxd

On voit aussi que le paquet xsane n' est pas installé , est ce normal ?

Pour xsane je ne sais pas si c'est normal mais ça fonctionnait avant.

essaie de faire ( donne les retours stp ) :

sudo  apt install ippusb

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sane-project/sane-release

sudo apt update

sudo apt full-upgrade

sudo apt install sane-utils libsane-common libsane1 libsane xsane

cela mettra les paquets sane* a jours , certains ont des soucis de compatibilité avec les scanners .
et xsane c ' est un logiciel pour scanner utilisant sane comme scanimage . Parfois un marche et pas l' autre ou vice-versa

A force de redémarrer l'ordinateur et l'imprimante, le scanner a fini par fonctionner, sans les commandes ci-dessus... Je n'ai pas tout compris!
